PITTSBURGH - A former Army sergeant alleging exposure to hexavalent chromium while assigned to a water treatment plant in Iraq sued government contractors on Sept. 11 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania for personal injuries he alleges were caused by the contractors' failure to warn him of the exposure risks (Glen Bootay v. FRESNO, Calif. - When an employee of an incendiary device manufacturer is injured by an accidental ignition of the flammable materials, the producers of the raw materials used in the manufacturing process are not liable to the injured employee for failing to warn the employer about the combustion risks of the mixture, a unanimous Fifth District California Court of Appeal panel said Aug. 28 (Luke Teston v.
