Well not exactly....I am a human being who owns a desktop and laptop PCs. Those I'm a PC Ads get tired very quickly, where Mr/Mrs Anybody USA is led into a store with a budget, they sniff briefly at the Mac, but immediately run to a windows PC, always a laptop, as one mother and her kid said in chorus "Oooohhh this one's got B-l-u-e R-a-y" as if they had discovered the holy grail.Personally I'm not fond of laptops as a main machine, although I bought my 10 pound Gateway wide screen laptop 5 years ago when I was spending 80% of my time in Provincetown. They don't mak'em like they used to. My Gateway is built like a truck an...

I went for a nerve conductivity test yesterday to hopefully sort out where to totally disabling pain is coming from in my right hand and arm. The first part of the tests, the doctor moves electrodes around in the areas in question and gives you a series of electric shocks, smaller increasing to jump of the table jolts. I don't know what struck me as funny but every time she shocked me I broke out laughing and had to regain my composure before the next round of shocks. I just kept thinking about a prisoner being tortured with electric shocks by his captors. After the first round of tests she moved on to inserting acupuncture...

Rats have been gnawing away at the insulation in the main cable trunk and mice have built nests in the control console. Lights keep flickering on and off, there's a smell of burning insulation in the main lobby and power has been lost to the lower floors and basement. That about sums up the state of my spine and nerves. I've been in unspeakable pain for over 2 months due to an undiagnosed nerve pinch in my right arm, which feels like the worst charlie horse I've ever had multiplied times 1000. I've been bounced between specialists, one claiming it smells like MS or polio, but then reversed his decision. The other specialist...

Something has happened to me over the past year or so that raises hell with my blood pressure. I first began noticing it about a year ago when I was living on a diet of Christian apocalyptic and tin foil helmet conspiracy news (those in the know, know that there is no conspiracy. The powers that be are right in the sheeple's faces, but nobody seems to notice or care).A strange thing happens when my blood pressure gets into the red zone; the tinnitus in my ears becomes like a jet roar, my vision blurs and my throat and chest get tight. I normally have run low to normal 90/60 to 130/80, but in these isolated cases it shoots ...

I have grown to dread hospitals and the medical industry in general "and it is an industry". Medical care has become a joke in this country, even in some of the best hospitals which are under staffed, over worked, unprepared and chaotic. Insurance and drug companies, plus other bean counters dictate what, when, how and who gets treated and who gets sent away. A lot of the under staffing and overworking of hospital and clinic staff comes from mandates in hospital admin (bean counters) and from HMO's and insurance companies.Over the past 10 years I have been rushed to the ER more times than I'd like to remember. In all but o...

There's a lot I have wanted to write about but...alas...my medical condition is sliding, especially the degenerative spinal/neural/muscle issues. I've been living with pain that only a Guantanamo tortured prisoner, spinal injury or cancer patient can appreciate. In the case of neurological conditions doctors claim there's not much they can do except sit an enjoy the show.I have not "literally" slept for over 3 weeks (maube 15-30 minutes a night total) due to intractable nerve pain, so my keel isn't to even, nor is my mental state.Strange but the thought has kept invading my mind that I won't be around next year, been sorti...

I spent a few days out in Worcester visiting and keeping my friend Rob company. He's still not doing well after a botched hip replacement surgery last February. It felt good to have someone to talk to seeing I'm alone 100% of the time normally. I took him out on a few errands and while we were at BJ's I picked up an interesting book which I've almost finished "Weird Massachusetts", a fun and informative collection of Massachusetts folk takes, urban legends as well as facts. This week on the news they stated that Boston is the eighth most stressful city to live in. Chicago gained the number one spot.I've lived here all my l...

Medically I have not been doing well, which is one reason I have not been keeping up with writing in here, and I don't feel like sharing the gory details for the vicarious entertainment of the masses.I was riding the bus last week and this upscale yuppy mom and two podlings were sitting acrfoss from me. It's been a while since I posted, been up to my neck in alligators. This has to be one of the strangest Summers I can remember as far as weather goes. June was a total washout...literally! July 4th weekend was superb and went downhill from there. It was either cloudy or hot and stiflingly humid. You could cut the air with machete it's been so thick, broken here and there by torrential downpours. It reminds me of when I was in the Philippines during monsoon season.Breathe deeply all those healthful vapors! As I crested the hill on route 2 heading East, at the Belmont/Arlington line, in the distance the Boston skyline has a ...

All of the warning lights in my head have come one and it's time for action. This latest wave of crippling anxiety, depression and obsessive thinking has it's roots way back in my early childhood. As I look honestly back, I've had clinical depression and anxiety most of my life, mixed in with long periods of normalcy. Clinical depression and OCD also ran in my family who are all long dead.I began seeing a counselor which to some might seem a form of weakness, but I look at it the opposite way, sometimes you need a little outside help. I'm also scheduled to see a psycopharmacologist about the possibility of some "temporary"...

The title's a takeoff on "Another one bites the dust". Since I got my old geezer/disabled discount T pass, I've been using mass transit a lot more. Thursday and Friday were whirlwind tours to the medical clinic and AIDS Service Organization. The problems with my legs and back are worsening, and it's affected my already non existent sex life. Since even masturbation offers no relief since somewhere along the spinal cable trunk the signals are not getting through. Some of it could also be my prostate, although every time the doc does a digital exam it feels normal and my PSA has always been well within normal range (but test...

About 35 years ago I was caught up in a deep depression and crippling free floating anxiety. After 2 years of therapy I was back in track thinking that was over and done with, but during the past few months the crippling anxiety has returned and I know some of it is from immersing myself in fundie dogma and living on a diet of that and tin foil helmet reading. This is making my life unmanageable. Unfortunately today my insurance does not cover counseling but they do cover all the psych meds I want. Well, I'm one of those people for whom psych meds worsen the condition. Every single SSRI they tried me on made me 100 times w...

For all the depression and anxiety I have been schlogging through, I woke up this morning feeling pretty good. Perhaps it was in part because today was one of those few picture perfect days, clear skies, mid 80's with low humidity. We only get a handful of these perfect days during Boston Summers so I took advantage of it, caught the subway into Boston and wandered around the common and shopping district before heading to the HIV long term survivor group. It's a nice group that I will try to attend whenever I'm able, men and women who have been living with it for 15 to 25 or more years. I'm in a very weird space right now, backing off from many of my familiar past times. There is a big stack of conspiracy and Christian books by the door waiting to be taken to the library for donation. What's also weird is I feel the most tense and depressed when I'm in my apartment, considering I've been here for 12 years. I find myself taking a lawn chair and a book and sitting in the back yard or catching a bus into Harvard Square just to be out among people, a sea of strangers all wearing ear buds, on cell phones or their laptops, it's almost surreal.I hope when the day comes I have to move it's not far from where I am...

I've decided to pull the plug on a lot of things. Living and spending 99.99% of my time alone, I have been burning up too much time online, mostly reading tin foil helmet articles and watching videos of the same bent, along with Christian end times stuff. I reached this point almost 35 years ago, which led me to a very deep dark place, so I am trying to pay attention to the little red warning light in my head and am trying to back off.....too much of this input is making me literally sick, so I've been watching old episodes of the Simpsons, South Park, Family Guy and American Dad with some Monty Python, George Carlin and B...

I recently made a pledge with myself to try not to post any more religious stuff since I am honestly not qualified, plus like 35 years ago I am wandering dangerously near the deep end of the pool once again. It's interesting that many mental patients according to a shrink I knew who was an ex man of the cloth, stated most of his patients came as a direct result of their dabbling in fundamentalist Christianity. If you're looking for hellfire and damnation then the bible is your book. In all my years of trying to read the bible, I never got a message of love and forgiveness, but mostly the threats of eternal damnation for th...

I have a ton of things that have to get done during the coming month, reapplying/re certifying for medical assistance, start a low level search for possible new place to live and getting my license renewed. I went to the Mass RMV site to see which offices were still open and which one was closest to me.After 2 days of Noah's flood (it poured) it looked liked a sparkling sunny day, OK the skies were filling with chem trails when I left the house this morning to catch the "cattle car from hell" in Somerville to East Cambridge. I voted for Barak Obama, although to me none of the available list of candidates seemed very appealing. My how time flies whether you're having a good time or not, 28 years!I'm still amazed and totally dumbfounded at how many times Bush and his cronies got a "get out of jail free card" and got to pass go and collect 2 billion dollars time and time again, considering the high crimes they committed....and barely a whimper fro...

Today is the Ides of March. Not much to say today among other things, battling with erratic and strasopheric episodes of high blood pressure for no apparaent reason, then if I take the BP medicine my BP and pulse drop almost to heart failure levels, from 140-200/90-110down to 50-70/30-35 adn pulse of 35-40. My blood pressure was never high, after being rushed to the hospital in January with 220/130 BP all tests came back negative so stress might be playing a major factor. I've cut my coffee consumption by 90% quit smoking (which never affected BP befpore) but in the past 4-5 months listening to music, reading, watching a v...

Last Summer I began noticing a large increase in the number of chem trails in the sky. What seemed strange was it would be a crystal clear day, then by the time the spraying filled the sky, it became cloudy and overcast. Even through the weather forecast was for clear and sunny, storms would materialize as if out of nowhere. We had numerous knock down, drag'em'out thunderstorms that appeared out of nowhere, dumping 2 to 5 inches of rain in an hour or two, then the sun would come back out. Sometimes we got a few bands of very powerful thunderstorms in a single day, with tornado warnings issues in parts of the state. June an...

The ideas flow freely when I'm up and about, but as soon as I begin to write, it's like, "what's the use, why bother."Another factor is that I'm one of the fully awake who see clearly that we are heading for a bottomless abyss, and not sure if I will survive what's to come. Screw what the gummint and corporate shills claim about global warming, when they have known and feared for decades thatwe are actually heading into a new ice age....do the research, connect the dots.Anyway nothing much to say today, BP was through the roof most of the day, feel like crap. Here's a list of YouTube channels I subscribe to and watch on a regular basis.BravePJCitizenPatriotcivilian37DeekjacksonDrLeonardHorowitzEarthlasthope2EmceeArSnendtimewatchmaneyezbbackFeelFreeToArgue...

I just got out of the hospital after a mandated ambulance ride to the ER when My blood pressure kept escalating until when it reached 220/112 I called my doctor's office, getting an immediate call back to call 911.When the EMT's arrived it was 200/99, which they said was still well worth a ride to the hospital. I don't drink, never used drugs, recently quit smoking, which could be part of why my BP has suddenly gone out of control. I can just be sitting there relaxing or reading, then suddenly a wave of anxiety washes over me, face felt flushed, throat and neck feel like they're being crushed and the ringing in my ears tur...

...same as the old bossI didn't watch the inauguration live yesterday. I was enroute to and from a doctor appointment via the T. There's something going on with my heart and blood pressure but an EKG yesterday was fine and BP was perfect 120/72 pulse 73, so I'm scheduled for a human dynamometer test (stress) and cardiac echo next week.I did watch some of the endless replays last night on the news after Fringe on Faux. The only 2 network shows I watch are House and Fringe. As I watched Dubya boarding helicopter one....scenes we'd like to see, federal agents grabbing him, Cheney and company leading them off in shackles for h...

It is pretty damn cold today and tomorrow may break records for cold here in chilly Eastern Taxachusetts.I had a doctor appointment yesterday, felt pretty good for a change and decided to take the T into Boston rather than drive the 7 miles. Having a discount old folk/disabled Charlie card has been a blessing at times. I did bundle up, gloves, woollen cap, scarf, snorkel jacket and walking boots. I've noticed that since mid December traffic has been much lighter than usual, same for the number of people riding the bus and subway systems. I figured it was because of the Christmas and other holiday season, but even now in mi...

Winter is only a few weeks old and already, even many of us New Englanders are quickly growing weary of one major snow storm after another, mixed with extreme cold.I don't have much to say today, besides all of my other medical issues I may also be having some cardiac problems. It still amazes me that I've made it to almost 62 years old, and can still wear the same size clothes I wore in high school. Although I am no longer very active, a lifetime of cycling, swimming and hiking has carried me through life with a lean physique. I do try to eat a healthy diet, difficult considering how tainted the food supply is, but there ...

You thought 2008 was bad! The coming years will make the past one seem like a day in paradise.....and it will go downhill from there, that is the overall plan.I have been hanging out on a Christian message board, mostly reading through and commenting on some of the NWO topics, something I have followed for almost 30 years. OK so the board is a Fundamentalist one, and a mistake I made was including a link to this blog....big mistake! Seems a few were quite annoyed at my worldliness and that it wasn't a Christian blog. If it was, I would have stated it clearly. One message I got was "you are very clever with words, so is Sat...

Oh I just had to finally post this, but what is this about yuppies making a big scene over "We have a baby! Look out, make way, baby on board coming through!" Cell phone zombie mom frantically yakking away pushing her prize possession around as if she were driving an Abrams tank through a conquered city. The yuppie offspring always seem to be screaming at the top of their lungs, from infant hood through preschool, it's non stop "WAA WAA! AAARRRGGGGHHHHHH!" When I compare them to non yuppie mothers, who's children seem to be well behaved, which makes them even cuter. It's especially nerve wracking while in the supermarket, r...

By now the entire world has seen our beloved emperor dodging the attempt of a shoe terrorist. Much of the world laughed or applauded, perhaps there were hoots, hollers and applause from Heaven itself. When I viewed the news footage of the fateful event, Dubya still had that perennial smirk in his face as if to say, "ha ha, ya missed, loser." The shoe event will reverberate around the world and may find it's way into future history books. But in his own mind Meester Boosh has done nothing wrong. So what if we're in the verge of a second great depression, so what if were are mired down in an untenable war or questionable cau...

"Hey what's with using the same picture" you may ask, "I've seen that JPG of Jesus weeping as he looks down on the world. Dontcha have anything new?" Well I think that picture speaks volumes, so it is worth using over again. Sorry no porno or graphics pics of carnage, you can get that while watching TeeVee or suckling from any other mass media teat.I suppose I'm a toy Christian would be like a toy soldier, not a real one, but a wind up toy....why do I say this?I must confess, although I claim Jesus Christ as my personal lord and savior, and believe that he came here in the flesh, died for us, beat death and is now reigning...

Back in the Summer of 1973, I was spending a day in Boston with a friend and his wife. His wife took off shopping while he and I made our way to the Bull & Finch pub for a pint. On the way we were walking through Boston Common when he asked, "who do you identify with?" I looked at him puzzled, he repeated his question then pointed to a homeless guy curled up sleeping on a park bench, "that's who I identify with. You, me, anyone could wind up where he is under the right set of circumstances, but nobody wants to think about that, it's just too frightening. Some day we may all be facing his fate, just remember that and be tha...

It's raining cats and dogs again today, talk about up to 3" before the mercury drops. I think I saw Noah navigating his ark down my street this morning. I had to get out, plus I was out of half and half, bread and a few other essentials., so I ventured out and drove to Micro Center, along the crazed cell phone zombies in their SUV's. People are really getting psycho on the road, which is one reason I no longer find driving pleasurable.I went with a mission, to find some decent Bible software and pick up one of the flash drives they had on sale, 8 GIG for $14.95. I found a pretty comprehensive Bible study program for a reas...
