Effectiveness of Robotic-Assisted Gait Training and Aquatic Physical Therapy in a Child With Long-Chain 3-Hydroxyacyl-CoA Dehydrogenase Deficiency: A Case Report
Conclusion and Recommendations for Clinical Practice: This is the first case in the literature to outline an outpatient physical therapy treatment plan to address mobility deficits secondary to exacerbation of LCHADD. This patient's rehabilitative course will hopefully add to future research and provide patients with guidelines for their recovery. (Source: Pediatric Physical Therapy)

Quality of Life, Participation, and Individualized Support in a Community-Based Yoga Class: A Case Series
Purpose: To assess quality of life and participation in children with disabilities following a community-based yoga class, to examine the feasibility of implementing a community-based program with individualized support, and to make recommendations for the development of future programs. Summary of Key Points: Four children participated in a 10-week yoga class, with doctor of physical therapy students providing individualized physical and behavioral support. Children improved in components of the Children's Assessment of Participation and Enjoyment (CAPE) following the program; however, changes in quality of lif...

Research on Children With Cerebral Palsy in Low- and Middle-Income Countries
The purpose of this special communication is to present ideas and thoughts from a symposium at the 75th Annual Meeting of the American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine. These included perspectives and lessons from 3 previously published review studies regarding cerebral palsy (CP) research in Brazil, India, and African countries, which explored the literature through the lens of the World Health Organization's International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) framework. Using this common lens, first we present the main findings of each of these articles, as well as the similariti...

ON Time Mobility: Advocating for Mobility Equity
Mobility is a human right. The traditional definition of mobility in physical therapy practice is centered on translocation and, while accurate, is not comprehensive. In this article, we propose the ON Time Mobility framework: that all children have the right to be mobile throughout their development to explore, engage in relationships, and develop agency to cocreate their lives. This perspective highlights interconnected principles of timing, urgency, multimodal, frequency, and sociability to begin discussions on supporting the right to hours of active mobility each day for all children. We propose critical evaluation and...

Physiological Response to the 6-Minute Frame Running Test in Children and Adults With Cerebral Palsy
Conclusions: The 6-MFRT represented a (near) maximum effort for 75% of the participants and the 6-MFRT can be used to estimate oxygen consumption on an individual basis. (Source: Pediatric Physical Therapy)

Enhancing the Content Validity of Self-Reported Physical Activity Self-Efficacy in Adolescents: A Qualitative Study
Conclusions: This study provides a PA self-efficacy instrument with expanded content coverage that is relevant to adolescents as young as 11 years. With further validation testing in future studies, this instrument will enable pediatric physical therapists and researchers to assess PA self-efficacy and design effective intervention strategies to improve PA.
