Nata Village has a population of 6000+ people living in six community wards. Each ward, which includes the following, Sekao, Basimane, Maaloso, Manakanagore, Makwenaejwang, and Kachikau each have one chief and a place to hold weekly meetings (kgotla). During the past years all six wards did not have a sign or anything identifying the community by their given name.In the coming month all six wards will have a large sign with the wards name on it.   The month of May was very educational for the Ntwakgolo support group. First, the support group just received their six week training course on leather and sewing work certificates. This work shop enables the support group to work independently from home. Making leather shoes, jackets, purses, and wallets. Second, the support group is now enjoying bead work by using paper and or magazines. The support group can now make neclaces, bracellets, and earings.   The student nurses are finally done with their four months of training in Nata Villag. Before their departure the student nurses decided to build a mission statement pillar in front of the clinic. The students will attend classes for approximately five more months, before they actually become register nurses at Nyangabwe referral hospital, located in Francistown.     Social and Community Development Department has put together a six week long work shop on how to make Shoes, Sandals, and Wallets from leather and tire rubber. Social and Community Development has invited the community to attend the work shop and learn a new skill. After the work shop many of the participants put their new skills at work.   November 7th 2008 was Natavillage first Senior Citizen Appreciation Day for approximately 60+ seniors who attended the big event. The sixty-five and above group celebrated their day with dancing and laughing with other members of their community. After many speeches by the Kgosi and other influetial members of the community the seniors citizens were treated to an awesome big lunch provided by the Post Office Staff. The community hopes this special event is the beginning of a long lasting appreciation for all the senior citizens living in Natavillage to be recognized. ...

  Northgate Lodge staff was treated to a First Aid/HIV class. Instructor MaKenneth explained the importance of using gloves when treating an injured person. The staff learned how to attend to deep cuts on the body and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree burns. MaKenneth also explained how serious the HIV virus is in their community. Children in Botswana culture start learning how to be productive and hard working citizens at an early age. The children start doing house and cattle post chores before and after school. For example, collecting water from the stand pipe to mix with sand and make mud bricks for their adobe homes.   Nata Primary School has a unique boys and girls volleyball team. This weekend they will compete with nineteen other schools from around the district. Nata Primary School took first place last year in their division. The sixteen person team has been practicing very hard every day after school. Nata is the team to beat on this tournament.   Every month PMTCT support group gives a health talk to all the patients visiting the clinic. Once a week the staff at Nata clinic give a talk on various health topics concerning the community.   Nata Primary School night watchman has a unique way of waking up the school's staff and the surrounding tenets with in a mile radius. This old truck rim is the school's bell for the students at Nata Primary School. The night watchmans job is to hit the rim five times in the early morning 5:00 am, the five dongs will wake up the school staff living in the community.  Tebelopele put together a two day work shop on Community Peer Counseling for anybody in the local community to attend. Thirty participants from Natavillage, Maposa, Sepako, Sowa Town, and Manxotae fully attended the work shop. The work shop instructors encouraged yound adults to educate their community on HIV/AIDS and behavioral change.
