New Study Warns of the Dangers of Multiple Vaccinations
Conclusion Neil Z. Miller has outlined some extremely alarming facts and the situation could be far worse, with many adverse reactions left unreported. However, despite his efforts, no mainstream media outlet has reported on this factual and evidence-based paper. Facts are facts, and we, at VacTruth, believe that the time has come to put a stop to this madness. We urge parents to send a copy of Miller’s paper to all relevant health and government departments before it is too late. A Letter to My Body After Surgery
“I’m nervous. I’m pretty much always nervous,” I repeatedly told every doctor and nurse who asked me how I was doing before my surgery. When you’re 32 and your pre-op nurse describes you as healthy, it doesn’t dispel all the thoughts that fill your head as you stare at the drop ceiling tiles at the surgery center. “Is this real? How is this my life? What am I doing here?” Those are the kinds of thoughts that usually precede a panic attack for me. But I breathed deeply and stayed in the moment. “Soon this will be over,” I told myself, “and then you can finally eat something today.” “I’m healt...

Should cancer decide whether or not you have children?
In 2009 I was diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer. I was told I would immediately need a radical hysterectomy and five weeks of radiation and four cycles of chemotherapy. While I was in the middle of complete shock, my oncologist advised I should think about preserving my eggs or embryos before surgery. If she hadn ’t mentioned this, I doubt it would have crossed my mind. I was in survival mode at that time. She sent me to a fertility doctor right away.I had just started a new relationship with Jason, who is now my husband. I felt awkward, worried and embarrassed about discussing fertility with him, but we had known e...

Embracing Optimism Even When Life Seems Unfair
About a year ago, I entered trauma therapy. For the first time I was honest with myself about the sexual abuse I experienced as a child. It opened a floodgate and shame, disgust, resentment, and depression rushed in. I’m happy to say that today those feelings are lessened or absent completely. I started working out a lot and traded a lot of fat for muscle. Every inch of me is now shaped differently. I’m the fittest and strongest I’ve ever been in my life. And yet I’m also sick. The stress of the past year did a number on my body. I was recently diagnosed with cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN II)...

American Cancer Society Updates HPV Vaccine Recommendations to Include Males
In a new report, the American Cancer Society recommends that 11- and 12-year-old girls as well as boys should be vaccinated to guard against cancers associated with the human papilloma virus (HPV). “HPV vaccination has the potential to prevent tens of thousands of cancers and hundreds of thousands of pre-cancers each year,” said Debbie Saslow, PhD, director of cancer control intervention for HPV vaccination and women’s cancers at the American Cancer Society. “It is critical that all the stakeholders here—families, health care providers, and others—make HPV vaccination a priority, so that prevention of the vast ...

LGBT Protections In Affordable Care Act Section 1557
On May 13, 2016, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights (HHS OCR) issued a historic new rule that codifies nationwide nondiscrimination protections for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people in health facilities, programs, and activities receiving federal funding. This rule confirms that Affordable Care Act Section 1557 prohibits discrimination against LGBT people in health insurance coverage and health care. Texas Takes On Cancer – A CPRIT Progress Report
Last week, the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) passed a major milestone in the fight against cancer. In 2007, LIVESTRONG played a leadership role in advocating for passage of the legislation and constitutional amendment to create CPRIT – a $3 billion investment in cancer research and programs in the state of Texas. CPRIT was launched in 2009 and is now the largest source of public funding for cancer research and programs in the United States outside of the federal government. Since that time, CPRIT has awarded more than 1000 grants and, last week, the agency exceeded $1.5 billion in grant doll...
