Determinants of physical activity maintenance and the acceptability of a remote coaching intervention following supervised exercise oncology rehabilitation: a qualitative study
CONCLUSIONS: Cancer survivors considered remote coaching acceptable to stimulate PA maintenance following supervised rehabilitation. Interventions should focus on increasing accountability, self-efficacy, forming habits, and helping cancer survivors to overcome barriers.IMPLICATIONS FOR CANCER SURVIVORS: The ability to maintain PA beyond supervised exercise oncology programs depends on many determinants. Remote coaching interventions have potential to target individually relevant determinants following exercise programs in cancer survivors.PMID:37733263 | DOI:10.1007/s11764-023-01455-5

Effectiveness and safety of Shenqi Fuzheng injection combined with platinum-based chemotherapy for treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer: a systematic review and meta-analysis
CONCLUSION: SFI combined with PBC for the treatment of advanced NSCLC improved the ORR, DCR, and quality of life, and reduced the incidence of myelosuppression and gastrointestinal adverse reactions. However, considering the limitations of existing evidence, further verification using high-quality RCTs is required.SYSTEMATIC REVIEW REGISTRATION: https://inplasy.com/inplasy-2022-7-0026, identifier INPLASY202270026.PMID:37731634 | PMC:PMC10507621 | DOI:10.3389/fonc.2023.1198768

STARGATE-X: a Python package for statistical analysis on the REACTOME network
J Integr Bioinform. 2023 Sep 21. doi: 10.1515/jib-2022-0029. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTMany important aspects of biological knowledge at the molecular level can be represented by pathways. Through their analysis, we gain mechanistic insights and interpret lists of interesting genes from experiments (usually omics and functional genomic experiments). As a result, pathways play a central role in the development of bioinformatics methods and tools for computing predictions from known molecular-level mechanisms. Qualitative as well as quantitative knowledge about pathways can be effectively represented through biochemical ...

Stakes of neuromorphic foveation: a promising future for embedded event cameras
Biol Cybern. 2023 Sep 21. doi: 10.1007/s00422-023-00974-9. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTFoveation can be defined as the organic action of directing the gaze towards a visual region of interest to acquire relevant information selectively. With the recent advent of event cameras, we believe that taking advantage of this visual neuroscience mechanism would greatly improve the efficiency of event data processing. Indeed, applying foveation to event data would allow to comprehend the visual scene while significantly reducing the amount of raw data to handle. In this respect, we demonstrate the stakes of neuromorphic foveation ...
