Thulium oxide nanoparticles as radioenhancers for the treatment of metastatic cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma.
Conclusions This is the first study to provide in vitro data demonstrating the independent radiosensitization effect of high-Z nanoparticles against metastatic cSCC with or without carboplatin. Further preclinical investigations with radiotherapy plus high-Z nanoparticles for the management of metastatic cSCC are warranted. PMID: 32726756 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Dendritic Nanoparticles for CutaneousDrug Delivery -Testing in Human Skin and Reconstructed Human Skin.
Abstract Dendritic nanoparticles have been developed with auspicious propertieslike high loading capacity for guest molecules, low polydispersity and tunable end groups. Demonstrating increased cellular uptake, and bypassed efflux transporters, dendritic nanoparticles may offer new treatment options for therapy-resistant diseases. New core-shell architectures address the drawbacks of initial approaches. Especially tecto-dendrimers,bearing low-radii dendrimers on the surface of a bigger dendrimer,as well as the core-multishell architectures with an alkyl inner shell and amonomethylpoly(ethylene glycol) outer shell,g...
