Phytofabrication of Selenium Nanoparticles From Emblica officinalis Fruit Extract and Exploring Its Biopotential Applications: Antioxidant, Antimicrobial, and Biocompatibility
Conclusion The present study shows phytofabrication of SeNPs from aqueous fruit extract of E. officinalis by facile, green, economic, and eco-friendly approach. The aqueous fruit extract of E. officinalis was rich with phenolics, flavonoids, and tannins, and was found appropriate for biosynthesis of nanoparticles. The synthesized PF-SeNPs exhibited highly stable, negative charge, amorphous nature, spherical shape and nano-size. The PF-SeNPs has presented efficient bio-potential applications, i.e., antioxidant, antimicrobial, and biocompatibility. The PF-SeNPs has shown potent free radical scavenging activity and it was fo...

Synthesis of transition metal ions doped-ZrO < sub > 2 < /sub > nanoparticles supported g-C < sub > 3 < /sub > N < sub > 4 < /sub > hybrids for solar light-induced photocatalytic removal of methyl orange and tetracycline pollutants
Chemosphere. 2022 Sep 10:136414. doi: 10.1016/j.chemosphere.2022.136414. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTPhotodegradation is an eco-friendly degradation process routinely employed for the removal of various pollutants produced by pharmaceutical and textile industries. In this work, g-C3N4 sheets (g-CN) supported with Fe-doped ZrO2 nanoparticles have been prepared via a facile hydrothermal method as photocatalysts for the effective photodegradation of methyl orange (MO) and tetracycline (TC). The as-prepared photocatalysts were characterized by using a wide range of techniques to understand the origin of their superior photod...

Novel Antibacterial, Cytotoxic and Catalytic Activities of Silver Nanoparticles Synthesized from Acidophilic Actinobacterial SL19 with Evidence for Protein as Coating Biomolecule
J Microbiol Biotechnol. 2022 Jul 25;32(9):1-14. doi: 10.4014/jmb.2205.05006. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTSilver nanoparticles (AgNPs) have potential applications in medicine, photocatalysis, agriculture, and cosmetic fields due to their unique physicochemical properties and strong antimicrobial activity. Here, AgNPs were synthesized using actinobacterial SL19 strain, isolated from acidic forest soil in Poland, and confirmed by UV-vis and FTIR spectroscopy, TEM, and zeta potential analysis. The AgNPs were polydispersed, stable, spherical, and small, with an average size of 23 nm. The FTIR study revealed the presence of bo...
