Intraindividual variability in sleep duration and college degree attainment
The objective of the current study was to examine the relationship between sleep characteristics and college degree attainment. Participants were 968 college students (72% female; mean age 19.7 [1.7]). Participants completed a psychosocial and sleep questionnaire battery followed by one week of daily sleep diaries. Academic degree completion data was obtained from the university registrar 10 years later. The effectiveness of self: A meta-analysis of using self-referential encoding techniques in education
CONCLUSIONS: Our results suggest that incorporating self-referential encoding techniques on negative materials shows an aversive effect. Overall, there is a universal benefit to using self-referential encoding techniques as an appropriate design guideline in educational contexts. Implications for teaching practice and future directions are discussed. Perception and engagement in unprofessional behaviors of medical students and residents: a mixed-method study
CONCLUSION: The results indicated that most participants engaged in unprofessional behaviors. The findings resulted from the internalized unprofessional culture in the workplace. The findings showed that engagement in unprofessional behaviors resulted from personal and systemic factors. Assessment of professionalism in a chiropractic college: A design and implementation of a rubric
CONCLUSION: In training chiropractic students on expected behaviors related to professionalism, a rubric assessment of professionalism guided communications between the clinical educator and students to discuss professionalism and remediate unprofessional behaviors. Assessment of forces during side-posture adjustment with the use of a table-embedded force plate: Reference values for education
CONCLUSION: The values we found will be used for reference at our institution and may be useful to instructors at other chiropractic educational institutions, in the teaching of lumbar side-posture manipulation.
