To clarify the medical evidence relating to harness suspension the UK Health and Safety Executive commissioned an evidence-based review and guideline. Four key questions were posed relating to the incidence, circumstances, recognition and first aid management of the medical effects of harness suspension. A comprehensive literature search returned 60 potential paper...

In this letter, we express our views on the importance of anatomy teaching for the young surgeons. Over the past century, cadavers have been used by various medical schools and institutions for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. Gone are the days when each undergraduate medical student was assigned a particular part of the body to dissect. Gradually, many of the medical schools and institutions started facing acute shortage of cadavers. As a result undergraduate teaching suffered. Even the surgeons who chose to train themselves during hands-on workshop on cadavers, had no other option but to resort to mannequins and other dummy models.
