Celebrating Cultural Diversity and Spirituality in Long-Term Care Facilities
Don ’t we all want an inclusive workplace? I was reflecting on this past spring season and the many months filled with various cultural and interfaith holidays. The facilities where I work held celebrations for St. Patrick’s Day and Easter, and the staff put a lot of effort into decorating and organ izing the festivities. It was so beautiful to see the residents smiling, laughing, and interacting with each other and with the staff, and I wondered how we, the facility’s team, could make such festivities even more inclusive in the coming months.
