Living Donors: Altruism and Feeling Forgotten.
CONCLUSIONS: The emotional distress of living donors during the predonation period emphasizes the need for social and psychological support in addition to medical evaluations. Donors who had positive experiences with donation can play a role in advocating for donation. Finally, in Jordan, social solidarity and religious beliefs are the most important factors that motivate donation. PMID: 32008488 [PubMed - in process]

Living donor kidney transplantation: preferences and concerns amongst patients waiting for transplantation in New Zealand
Conclusions The preferences and concerns of patients in New Zealand are similar to those reported elsewhere. Education needs to address the concerns of patients and ensure they have accurate knowledge about living donation. Concerns about financial impacts on donors, however, arise from New Zealand’s policy of not fully reimbursing living donors for lost income and cannot be addressed through improved education.

Pregnancy in advanced chronic kidney disease and end-stage renal disease
This article reviews the available literature about the incidence, outcomes, and the management of pregnancy in women with advanced chronic kidney disease (CKD) and end-stage renal disease (ESRD) who require renal replacement therapy. Recent findings: Pregnancy in women with advanced CKD and ESRD can result in serious adverse maternal and fetal outcomes, but improved outcomes have been noted in recent years, likely secondary to intensified dialysis regimens.
