In conclusion, although the contribution of CRF to GrimAgeAccel and FitAgeAccel is relatively low compared to lifestyle-related factors such as smoking, the results suggest that the maintenance of CRF is associated with delayed biological ageing in older men. « Back to Top Release of Acetylcholine is Necessary for the Aging Brain to Compensate for a Lack of Neurogenesis https://www.fightaging.org/archives/2023/09/release-of-acetylcholine-is-necessary-for-the-aging-brain-to-compensate-for-a-lack-of-neurogenesis/ Neurogenesis is the process by which new neurons are created by neural stem ce...

Fight Aging! Newsletter, August 24th 2020
We report that electrical stimulation (ES) stimulation of post-stroke aged rats led to an improved functional recovery of spatial long-term memory (T-maze), but not on the rotating pole or the inclined plane, both tests requiring complex sensorimotor skills. Surprisingly, ES had a detrimental effect on the asymmetric sensorimotor deficit. Histologically, there was a robust increase in the number of doublecortin-positive cells in the dentate gyrus and SVZ of the infarcted hemisphere and the presence of a considerable number of neurons expressing tubulin beta III in the infarcted area. Among the genes that were unique...

Towards Better Vaccines and a Lower Burden of Infectious Disease in Old People
Over a lifetime, the burden of infectious disease - and particularly persistent infections such as cytomegalovirus - influences the pace of aging via its detrimental impact on immune function in later life. The slow upward trend in life expectancy over the past two centuries is due in no small part to reductions in infectious disease that accompanied improvements in sanitation and then medicine. In addition, in old age, once the immune system declines into ineffectieness, infectious disease becomes a much more serious concern. Infections that a young person defeats with ease become life-threatening. The primary strategy to...

How Could Digital Tools Help Fight Against Anti-Vaccination?
Anti-vaccination movements lure increasingly more people into skipping potentially life-saving immunization against infectious diseases, such as measles, mumps, or rubella, highly impairing herd immunity for entire communities. Social media platforms could restrict the reach of anti-vax messages, groups, and activities, with algorithms recommending tailor-made content and health apps providing information about vaccinations. Here’s our collection of the most recent steps and digital tools supporting the fight against anti-vaccination and its believers. 300 percent increase in measles globally In a widely shared soc...

AAP Bronchiolitis Guidelines a Mismatch with Clinical Practice
I recently met with a group from our children's hospital to standardize the hospital management of bronchiolitis according to the latest American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines. (Pediatrics 2014;134[5]:e1474; http://bit.ly/2QIGbMX.) Unfortunately, these guidelines seem to cause confusion for experienced and inexperienced emergency physicians alike. This confusion comes from the guidelines raising unaddressed issues and new questions, most importantly not tackling important aspects of frontline clinical practice. These guidelines were developed with the best evidence currently available, and their application mo...

Forever Damaged From An Untested 8-in-1 Vaccine, Help Needed As Jodie ’s Legal Battle Continues
Conclusion We don’t know how many other children were given this experimental vaccine, but Jodie Marchant is the only one known to have survived this and her family is the only family in the world to hold the records proving this vaccine corruption has gone on. In recent times, due to immense pressure regarding informed consent not being provided often enough to parents by doctors, the Supreme Court Montgomery ruling was passed. This ruling will help change the way doctors provide informed consent and should help families receive compensation for their child’s vaccine injury. This ruling might also help the Marchants w...

Out of tragedy, a campaign to increase vaccine uptake in Michigan
I’ve written before about how our vaccination rate here in Michigan are…suboptimal. Indeed, a couple of years ago, health officials were so alarmed at the increases in personal belief exemptions to school vaccine mandates that a new regulation was instituted that require parents seeking nonmedical exemptions to school vaccine mandates to travel to an office…

A 7-Pound Premature Baby Died After Receiving 8 Vaccine Doses, Her Death Was Blamed On Co-Sleeping Instead Of The Toxic Vaccines
Conclusion Medical examiners are putting the blame on parents for co-sleeping, while completely ignoring the vaccines given to the child hours or days before, when investigating these infant deaths. They will also relate an infant’s death to poisoning of the body due to something the child ingested or inhaled, but not from the poisons injected through the vaccines. [29] In the state of Louisiana, health officials have been applauded for having fairly high vaccination rates, but at the same time, Louisiana has consistently been ranked one of the worst states in the nation for having high infant mortality rates, but nowher...

Aluminium Adjuvants Have Never Been Approved For Use In Vaccination
Conclusion Over the years, hexavalent vaccinations have been responsible for many deaths and disabilities worldwide, and yet they remain in use today. It is shocking to know that a leading pharmaceutical company such as GlaxoSmithKline has known of the danger of these vaccines for years, and yet they continue to portray them as safe and effective. This is just one of the many papers that have been hidden over the years. How many more scholarly papers that reveal similar adverse reactions have the pharmaceutical industries and governments hidden in their archives? To learn more about hidden documents, read At Last! Why You Can ’t Find Safe Vaccines
Conclusions Safe, effective, affordable homeopathic immunizations exist for almost every illness now targeted by unsafe, costly, failed conventional vaccinations. If the goal were to provide protection from disease in a safe manner, why aren’t these safe, inexpensive homeopathic options made available to the public on a large scale? Millions of dollars in healthcare costs would be saved by using a less expensive immunization. Most significant would be the reduction of vaccine-caused diseases including autism, asthma, allergies, autoimmune disorders, diabetes, and cancer. The health of Americans would improve in dramatic ...

Aggressive Hospital Vaccine Policies: Get Vaccinated or Lose Your Job!
Conclusions The very unfortunate reality is that health freedoms are increasingly becoming limited in our country. The choice to become vaccinated as an adult should be a private decision, but it is now being tied with conditions for employment at many hospitals. Those who fight for a religious or medical exemption are often denied due to the strict interpretations by hospital policy administrators. The assistance of a vaccine lawyer is often required to successfully utilize exemptions which hospital policies allow. Placing dedicated hospital employees in such a difficult position is unethical and unfair. Many who have res...

The annals of “I’m not antivaccine,” part 20: “There is no safe vaccine” and excusing the murder of autistic children
One of the most insidious and oft-repeated myths of the antivaccine movement is that vaccines cause autism. Certainly, it is true that there was an antivaccine movement long before anyone thought of linking vaccines to autism. For example, in the the 1980s the DPT (diptheria-whole cell pertussis-tetanus) vaccine was linked to encephalitis and neurological damage,…
