The potential of digital health records for public health research, policy, and practice: the case of the Lombardy Region Data Warehouse
Acta Biomed. 2023 Aug 30;94(S3):e2023121. doi: 10.23750/abm.v94iS3.14407.ABSTRACTDigital health records can provide advantages to healthcare practice, policy, and research. Several countries have established population-based digitalised data collection, integrated through data linkage techniques. Post-injury outcomes following non-sport related concussion: A CARE Consortium Study
CONCLUSIONS: Athletes with non-SRC had worse post-injury outcomes relative to SRC and females with non-SRC had worse recovery metrics relative to males. Our findings suggest that further investigation of individuals with non-SRC is needed to improve concussion reporting and management.PMID:37681681 | DOI:10.4085/1062-6050-0181.23

Increased asphericity of the femoral head-neck junction in professional breakers compared to hobby athletes - a retrospective case-control study
CONCLUSION: Breakers have higher AA in cam-type FAI compared to nonprofessional athletes. The corresponding hip pain significantly reduced training hours and caused the end of their breaking career. The potentially high prevalence of FAI in breakers and the corresponding consequences need to be considered early when athletes present with hip pain.PMID:37684261 | DOI:10.1080/00913847.2023.2256210
