A modified esophagogastric reconstruction method after laparoscopic proximal gastrectomy: A technical note with video vignette
CONCLUSION: The "arch-bridge-type" reconstruction method is safe and time saving. It has advantages in simplifying the procedure of conventional double flap technique and reducing postoperative complications after proximal gastrectomy.PMID:37730505 | DOI:10.1016/j.asjsur.2023.09.017

Application of overlap anastomosis in digestive tract reconstruction during minimally invasive Ivor-Lewis esophagectomy
This study aims to assess the feasibility of the Overlap anastomosis technique in minimally invasive Ivor-Lewis esophagectomy. An accompanying video presentation elucidates our surgical procedures. A retrospective review of 46 patients diagnosed with middle and lower esophageal cancer was conducted. These patients underwent minimally invasive Ivor-Lewis esophagectomy with Overlap anastomosis between January 2019 and December 2020. A consistent team of surgeons performed all procedures. The initial phase involved laparoscopic stomach mobilization, intra-abdominal lymphadenectomies, and preparation of the tubular stomach. Su...

Application of reversely connecting circular stapler technique in cervical esophagogastric anastomosis
CONCLUSIONS: The reversely connecting circular stapler technique could reduce the incidence of anastomotic leakage. The technique is simple to perform and easy to learn. Therefore, it is useful for the prevention of anastomotic leakage.PMID:37680727 | PMC:PMC10481437 | DOI:10.5114/wiitm.2023.125604

Application of temperature-sensitive liquid embolic agent loaded with oxaliplatin in the TACE procedure for rabbit VX2 gastric cancer
In conclusion, the TempSLE can load a high dose of oxaliplatin to meet the demand of clinical applications. TempSLE/Oxa could effectively inhibit tumor cell proliferation and angiogenesis. This study provides experimental evidence for the further clinical application of the TempSLE/Oxa.PMID:37668861 | DOI:10.1007/s13346-023-01425-5
