The Man Who Thinks He Can Live Forever
In a neat little neighborhood in Venice, Calif., there’s a block of squat, similar homes, filled with mortals spending their finite days on the planet eating pizza with friends, blowing out candles on birthday cakes, and binging late-night television. Study on the Therapeutic Effect of Coconut Oil Extracts as An Alternative Medicinal Plant in < em > Cryptosporidium < /em > Infected Mice
CONCLUSION: The present study has opened fresh avenues for development of natural therapy like coconut oil extracts, which have a potential therapeutic efficacy against Cryptosporidiosis. That was confirmed by different methodologies, parasitological examination, histopathological examination, and immunohistochemical assays. It paves the way for being a promising anti-parasitic agent for infection eradication. However, further studies are still required to gain more knowledge about different coconut extracts in order to reach the best treatment efficacy.PMID:37724361 | DOI:10.4274/tpd.galenos.2023.22932

Higher cadmium and zinc accumulation in parsley (Petroselinum crispum) roots activates its antioxidants defense system
Biometals. 2023 Sep 13. doi: 10.1007/s10534-023-00529-2. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTParsley (Petroselinum crispum) is herb with many biological and medicinal benefits for humans. However, growth on zinc (Zn) and cadmium (Cd) contaminated sites might get severely affected due to over accumulation of heavy metals (HM) in different plant tissues. Antioxidants play a crucial role in minimizing the negative effects of HM. The present study investigates the effects of Zn and Cd stress on P. crispum morphological parameters, enzymatic/non-enzymatic antioxidant profiling and metal accumulation in shoot/root. Plants were exposed...
