Clinical Application of Inferior Alveolar Nerve Block Device for Safe and Secure IANB by Any Operator
Pain Res Manag. 2023 Sep 8;2023:1021918. doi: 10.1155/2023/1021918. eCollection 2023.ABSTRACTThe inferior alveolar nerve block (IANB) is an established technique with a success rate of 60-80%; however, large errors have been reported among operators. Some dentists do not prefer to use IANB because of the risk of complications. Nevertheless, it is a useful technique for pain control, and a secure IANB offers significant benefits to operators and patients. This case series study aimed to investigate the efficacy of the "IANB Device," a nerve block guide for IANB, and the adverse events associated with its use in clinical pra...

Protocol for a double-blinded randomised controlled trial investigating the use of adjunct bicarbonate in carpal tunnel release: a single-centre study
This study aims to compare the effectiveness of buffered and non-buffered long-acting local anaesthetics in pain relief during and after carpal tunnel release (CTR) surgery. Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is the most common peripheral nerve entrapment syndrome. Surgical treatment of CTS, CTR, is the most common hand surgical operation. CTR is usually performed under local anaesthesia, the application of which is often the most painful event during the procedure. One important aspect of patient satisfaction is adequate pain management during and after CTR. Long-acting local anaesthetics provide good postoperative pain control...

Comparison of the efficacy of oxygen-ozone and lidocaine injections in the treatment of myofascial pain syndrome: A randomized clinical trial
CONCLUSION: Oxygen-ozone and lidocaine injections of the trigger point can effectively improve pain and functional status. However, lidocaine injection appears to be superior in reducing pain compared to oxygen-ozone injection, but is not superior in improving function and PS.PMID:37674800 | PMC:PMC10478539 | DOI:10.5606/tftrd.2023.11516
