Transient left bundle branch block associated with very high coronary artery calcium: a case report
We present a case of very high CAC in a 64-year-old woman with hypertension, type 2 diabetes, and hyperlipidemia presenting with dyspnea. Initial electrocardiogram (ECG) demonstrated normal conduction with a heart rate of 76 beats/min, but new T-wave inversions in V1-V4 and a high-sensitivity troponin-I (hsTnI) value of 6 ng/L (normal < 6 ng/L). A randomized trial: The safety, pharmacokinetics and preliminary pharmacodynamics of ropivacaine oil delivery depot in healthy subjects
ConclusionsRODD has a sustained release effect. Compared with the RHI group, Tmax was delayed in the RODD groups, and the duration of nerve block was long. No abnormal reaction was found in the RODD group containing 400 mg of ropivacaine after subcutaneous injection among healthy subjects, suggesting that RODD was adequately safe. Isolated JUP plakoglobin gene mutation with left ventricular fibrosis in familial arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy
ConclusionWe present a case of a young athletic male with a newly diagnosed isolated JUP gene mutation and a genetically diagnosed family history of ARVC. During his course, he demonstrated the progression ofnew, atypical, left ventricular fibrosis. Cardiac Tamponade Secondary to Hemorrhagic Pericardial Effusion: A Complication of STEMI
Conclusion: The differential for hemodynamic compromise in a patient with STEMI is broad, but quickly distinguishing pump failure from other life-threatening causes of shock is imperative to dictate time-sensitive management decisions.
