Therapeutic Potential for Cannabinoids in Sports Medicine: Current Literature Review
Cannabidiol and other cannabinoids are being used more frequently for sports medicine–related conditions. This review will help sports medicine clinicians answer questions that their athletes and active patients have about the potential effectiveness of cannabinoids on common sports medicine conditions. In the article, the authors compare cannabidiol and delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol effects, noting the difference on the endocannabinoid and nonendocannabinoid receptors. The theoretical benefits of these two compounds and the current legality in the United States surrounding cannabidiol and delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol use also are addressed.

The diagnostic dartboard: is the bullseye a correct pathoanatomical diagnosis or to guide treatment?
It is a very human trait to try and rationalise our complicated world by placing things into distinct groups. Good eyesight - a basic precondition for safety and performance in sports
Conclusions All results mentioned and further literature searches show that good eyesight is important from the perception physiology and injury prevention point of view. Visual acuity, contrast sensitivity, depth and motion perception etc. have a significant influence on performance and quality of sports – depending on the specific demands of the discipline. Visual function tests should be included in health diagnostics in order to be able to detect and subsequently correct visual deficiencies at an early stage.

Ametropia, visual deficits and motor performance in school sports
