Factors Associated with Time Spent Practicing Sports Medicine by Those with a Certificate of Added Qualification
Conclusions: Those factors found to be associated with spending 75% or more of their time practicing sports medicine by SM-FPs seem to be consistent with recent trends in the recruitment and employment of these physicians and their ability to provide added value to the health care system by virtue of their additional training and expertise.

In the above-mentioned article,1 the electronic version differs from the print version due to data errors in the figure. Family Physicians with a Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQs) in Sports Medicine Spend the Majority of Their Time Practicing Sports Medicine
While family physicians holding certificates of added qualifications in sports medicine practice in multiple settings, little is currently known about the proportion of their time devoted exclusively to the practice of sports medicine. We found that most spend a majority of their time doing so, and this number has been increasing over the past decade.

Improving Resident Physician Confidence and Participation in Sporting Event Coverage Using a Sports Medicine Pocket Guide and Resident Advocate (Jacob J Miller Resident Physician)
This is an observational study examining the effect of two specific interventions on the willingness and capability of family medicine residents to participate in sports medicine coverage. Residents were given a point-of-care sports medicine reference and encouraged by a resident advocate to provide coverage for a local roller derby club. A survey post-intervention and New Innovations query examined residents' perceptions of the interventions and the nuber of sporting events covered compared to prior years.
