CONCLUSION: The detailed examination of patients suffering from tinnitus is essential in multidisciplinary therapy planning. Possible complications in other organs can also be detected using the carotid-vertebral ultrasound as screening method. Based on the cervical X-ray, the somatosensory tinnitus form can be observed. Pure-tone audiometry and tinnitometry help detect hearing loss combined with tinnitus, pitch, and loudness, which are also essential in therapy planning. Intracranial pressure, lateral sinus patency, and jugular ultrasound hemodynamics in patients with venous pulsatile tinnitus
In conclusion, patients with venous PT as the only presenting symptom should be suspected of having borderline or increased CSFP when they present with high ITSS, BMI and low PI. Further, AG in TS without encephalocele and empty sellae are not limiting findings for differentiating the level of CSFP in patients with venous PT.

E-201 Intravascular ultrasound evaluation of a transverse sigmoid junction meningioma causing dural venous sinus stenosis
ConclusionThis case demonstrates the feasibility of intravascular imaging to characterize the relationship between a meningioma and dural venous sinus. Higher resolution imaging modalities, including intravascular optical coherence tomography or angioscopy may further elucidate this relationship. Future studies are needed to correlate intravascular imaging with intraoperative findings.Disclosures D. Heiferman: None. A. Arthur: None. C. Nickele: None.

Retroauricular/Transcranial Color-Coded Doppler Ultrasound Approach in Junction With Ipsilateral Neck Compression on Real-Time Hydroacoustic Variation of Venous Pulsatile Tinnitus
In conclusion, the sensation of PT is closely associated with the flow of kinetic energy rather than the formation of a vortex, whereby the amplitude of PT is correlated to the magnitude of the flow velocity and pressure gradient. Additionally, the range of velocity reduction revealed by the RCCD method may serve as a presurgical individual baseline curative marker that may potentially optimize the surgical outcomes.

Ultrasound-Guided Occipital Nerve Blocks to Reduce Tinnitus-Associated Otalgia: A Case Series
Ear pain is mediated by cranial nerves V, IX, and X, as well as branches of C2 and C3, including the occipital nerve. Occipital neuralgia may play a role in the development or worsening of tinnitus and otalgia. The authors reviewed and report 33 cases of ultrasound-guided occipital nerve blocks in patients with tinnitus and otalgia, with postprocedure follow-up intervals of up to 2 years. We found that greater occipital nerve blocks may be a valuable treatment method for these patients.

A case report of refractory otalgia after Ramsay Hunt syndrome successfully treated by applying pulsed radiofrequency to the great auricular nerve: A CARE-compliant article
Rationale: Ramsay Hunt syndrome is a type of herpes zoster infection involving geniculate ganglion and facial nerve. Unilateral facial palsy, otalgia, and painful vesicular rash on the auricle and external auditory canal are the typical symptoms. Although postherpetic neuralgia (PHN) is a devastating complication of herpes zoster infection, PHN following Ramsay Hunt syndrome has rarely been reported. Patient concerns: A 55-year-old immunocompetent female patient visited our pain clinic, for left-sided refractory otalgia (PHN) that persisted for 3 months after she was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome. Althou...

Is that a real tumor?
A 58-year-old man (height, 165 cm; weight, 54 kg) presented with dysarthria, tinnitus, and transient numbness of the hands. A chest radiograph and a carotid ultrasound were normal. Cranial magnetic resonance imaging revealed multiple cerebral infarctions. Electrocardiography showed sinus bradycardia (48 beats/min), whereas Holter electrocardiography showed multiple episodes of sinus arrest lasting between 4 s and 10 s. Computed tomography (CT) showed a 2.5   ×  5 cm mass in the right atrium (Fig 1).

COVID-19: The Tipping Point for Rapid Tech Adoption
Every care provider and life sciences business says the same thing: the global pandemic emergency is acting as an unprecedented accelerant that is profoundly changing the way healthcare is delivered and R&D is conducted.    Above all, the experiences of 2020 have expanded our sense of the possibilities for technology to transform our health. We are in a new technological era. “COVID has disrupted our industry,” says Bertrand Bodson, Chief Digital Officer at Novartis. “It has highlighted our strengths and areas we now need to dial up. Healthcare’s digital moment has arrived.”  Widespread telehealth adopt...

Coexistence of idiopathic intracranial hypertension and optic disc drusen in a latin american patient: case report.
We present a case of a 34-year-old woman referred to the Ophthalmology Department with visual discomfort, headaches, and pulsatile tinnitus of two months onset. In the physical examination there was bilateral blurring of the optic disc margin with absence of spontaneous venous pulsation. The diagnosis of idiopathic intracranial hypertension was made by lumbar puncture with the measurement of the opening pressure, and due to the findings of the magnetic resonance scan of the brain and orbits. The optic nerve drusen was an incidental finding in an optical coherence tomography angiography, which would later be confirmed with ...
