Cerebrovascular pulsatile tinnitus: causes, treatments, and outcomes in 164 patients with neuroangiographic correlation
Conclusion PT with a suspected vascular cause is most often attributable to venous etiologies. PT caused by arteriovenous shunting or venous sinus stenosis may be effectively treated endovascularly.

Stenting versus medical treatment for idiopathic intracranial hypertension: a matched-control study
Conclusions This matched-control study shows that stenting has a greater efficacy rate and rapid resolution of papilledema and its respective symptoms compared with medical treatment.

A new method for assessing transverse sinus stenosis with CT venography based on the venous trans-stenotic pressure gradient
Conclusions Quantitatively assessing TSS by taking the ratio of the cross-sectional area of TSS to that of the poststenotic segment might be a more efficient method for predicting the TPG.

Extreme lateral infracondylar approach for internal jugular vein compression syndrome: A case series with preliminary clinical outcomes
ConclusionThe ELI approach for IJV decompression appears to be safe for patients who are not ideal endovascular candidates due to bony anatomy. Confirming long-term efficacy in relieving debilitating clinical symptoms requires longer follow-up and a larger patient cohort. Carefully selected patients with symptomatic bony IJV compression for whom there are no effective medical or endovascular options may benefit from surgical IJV decompression.

Synchronous Carotid Body and Glomus Jugulare Tumors : A Case Report and Review of Literature
J Korean Neurosurg Soc. 2023 Aug 30. doi: 10.3340/jkns.2022.0273. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTParagangliomas are rare neuroendocrine tumors that are usually benign in nature. They may be either familial or sporadic in their occurrence. Numerous neuroendocrine tumors are collectively included under the umbrella of paragangliomas. Among them, carotid body tumors and glomus jugulare tumors are extremely rare. Thus, we present a rare case of 29-year-old male who was admitted with hearing difficulties and tinnitus in the left ear, with swelling on the left side of the neck. Based on clinical and radiological findings, a diagn...

P180/99 More than just noise: association of pulsatile tinnitus with anxiety, depression and reduction of quality of life
ConclusionThe prevalence of moderate to severe depression and anxiety in the PT population, which was previously unknown, is estimated in our study to be 46% and 37%, respectively. Furthermore, increasing TFI total score was significantly associated with increased depression and anxiety scales adding further evidence of the impact of PT on the psychological health of these patients.Disclosure of InterestNothing to disclose

P004/33 Recurrent intracranial hypertension secondary to collateral regression following successful occlusion of dural AV fistula
PresentationA 35 year-old lady presented with headache, tinnitus and papilloedema. LP showed raised CSF pressure. Acetazolamide was commenced for presumed idiopathic intracranial hypertension with atypical phenotype but papilloedema persisted despite increasing dosage.CTV showed a non-occlusive right sigmoid sinus filling defect with bilateral transverse sinus stenosis. Prominent, tortuous veins straddled the tentorium, indicating venous hypertension.Angiography identified a dural A-V fistula involving the torcula and right transverse sinus. Tributaries included bilateral MMA and occipital artery branches, bilateral poster...

P007/80 Dural arteriovenous fistula presenting as parkinsonism, treated with transvenous embolization across from the contralateral sinus using a coil basket as a wall: A case report
ConclusionParkinsonism and cognitive dysfunction in DAVF is reversible when treated. Therefore, the prompt and exact diagnosis is important.Disclosure of InterestNothing to disclose

E-081 Endovascular treatment of pulsatile tinnitus caused by a dilated mastoid emissary vein: a case report and literature review
ConclusionEndovascular coil embolization appears to be an effective treatment for pulsatile tinnitus associated with MEVs, as demonstrated by our case and a review of existing literature. Despite the limited number of reported cases, the consistent success in symptom resolution suggests the potential for this treatment option in similar patients. Additionally, the endovascular approach is advantageous due to the ability to utilize BTO to evaluate symptomatic response prior to embolization. Further research with larger cohorts is needed to establish the long-term efficacy and safety of this approach.Abstract E-081 Figure 1A...

E-120 The utility of MRI and MRA in the follow-up evaluation of treated dural arteriovenous fistulas: a preliminary analysis
ConclusionMRI/MRA evidence of residual or recurrent dAVF is not reliably found between two neuroradiologists or as compared to angiographic results. Catheter angiogram remains the standard for follow-up of treated dAVF.ReferencesNewton TH, Cronqvist S. Involvement of dural arteries in intracranial arteriovenous malformations. O-025 Clinical history and physical examination can differentiate arteriovenous shunts from venous causes of pulsatile tinnitus
ConclusionsClinical history and physical examination achieve high performance for detecting a shunting cause of PT. Treatable venous etiologies can be predicted by relief with jugular compression. These findings support the value of a focused clinical assessment in the initial evaluation of patients with PT.Abstract O-025 Figure 1Disclosures D. Cummins: None. M. Caton: None. K. Hemphill: None. E-052 Post-operative weight loss in venous sinus stenting patients
ConclusionsIn conclusion, this study demonstrated that venous sinus stenting may result in modest decreases in BMI in IIH patients. The evidence suggests that with the intervention of venous sinus stenting, patients experienced a decrease in their BMI regardless of papilledema resolution. Further research such as larger prospective trials are needed to further understand the effect of transverse sinus stenting on weight loss.Disclosures A. Paul: None. A. Gajjar: None. A. Rogers: None.
