'Bombshell' Study Shows Our Brains Are Even More Awesome Than We Knew
In a finding they're calling a "real bombshell in the field of neuroscience," researchers have uncovered evidence that the human brain's memory capacity is an order of magnitude greater than previously thought. "Our new measurements of the brain's memory capacity increase conservative estimates by a factor of 10 to at least a petabyte," Dr. Terry Sejnowski, a professor at the Salk Institute in La Jolla, California, and co-senior author of a paper describing the research, said in a written statement. Kansas City Group Pays $30M for Stoneleigh Centerton, Stadium Apartments (NWA Real Deals)
A real estate firm in Kansas City, Missouri, paid nearly $30 million for two apartment complexes in northwest Arkansas. Block Funds, led by Kenneth Block, paid $22.5 million for the Stoneleigh Centerton complex in Centerton and $6.7 million for the Stadium Apartments in Fayetteville. Block Multifamily Group will manage the properties. “The northwest Arkansas multifamily occupancy levels are some of the strongest in the nation,” Kenneth Block said in a statement. TET proteins help maintain genome integrity
(La Jolla Institute for Allergy and Immunology) Members of the TET (short for ten-eleven translocation) family have been known to function as tumor suppressors for many years, but how they keep a lid on the uncontrolled cell proliferation of cancer cells had remained uncertain.
