Walgreens to buy rival Rite Aid for $17B
Walgreens Boots Alliance will buy rival Rite Aid Corp. for $17.2 billion cash, combining two of the three largest drugstore chains in the U.S. The deal is expected to close in the second half of 2016. Under the agreement, Walgreens will pay Rite Aid shareholders $9 per share in cash. Rite Aid will operate as a subsidiary and will keep its name for the time being. Amberleigh to add memory care unit
Amberleigh Community wants to convert one of its wings to help fill a growing regional need for more specialized, memory care facilities. In the first step of its $6.24 million conversion, the Amherst Industrial Development Agency approved a series of tax breaks to advance the proposal. Study: Eating Nuts Can Reduce Risk Of Death

Dutch researchers found that 10 grams of nuts or peanuts a day was associated with a 23% lower risk of death from diseases like cancer, diabetes, respiratory illness, and neurodegenerative diseases.
