Amyloid myopathy: expanding the clinical spectrum of transthyretin amyloidosis —case report and literature review
AbstractWe identified two patients with transthyretin (ATTR) amyloid myopathy (one ATTR variant amyloidosis, ATTRv; one wild-type ATTR amyloidosis, ATTRwt). Myopathy was the initial manifestation in ATTRwt, whereas it followed neuropathy and cardiomyopathy in ATTRv. The ATTRwt patient showed muscular tracer uptake on99mTc-DPD planar scintigraphy at the time of initial diagnosis, consistent with ATTR amyloid myopathy. The ATTRv patient underwent heart transplantation because of progressive heart failure. Within the next two years, progressive myopathic symptoms and extracardiac tracer uptake on99mTc-DPD planar scintigraphy ...

Prevalence and clinical significance of electrocardiographic signs of atrial myopathy in rheumatoid arthritis: results from the EDRA study
CONCLUSIONS: Electrocardiographic markers of atrial myopathy are independently associated with RA. Further studies with larger sample size and longer follow-up are needed to determine whether the increased prevalence of atrial myopathy contributes to the increased risk of atrial fibrillation and stroke in this group.PMID:36622121 | DOI:10.55563/clinexprheumatol/d9l4lt

Clinical and Radiological Features of Korean Patients With Anti-HMGCR Myopathy
CONCLUSIONS: Our study was the first to measure anti-HMGCR antibodies in inflammatory myopathy. It has provided new findings, including the suggestion of the coexistence of other MSAs in Korean patients.PMID:36929062 | DOI:10.3988/jcn.2022.0374
