Real-world treatment persistence of four commonly prescribed biologic therapies for moderate to severe psoriasis in Australia
CONCLUSIONS: The nationally representative PBS dataset can provide real-world insights into the persistence on biologic therapies for psoriasis in Australia, where eligibility criteria for reimbursed treatment are stringent. Persistence is an indirect marker of sustained treatment effectiveness and tolerability. Both unadjusted and adjusted analyses found longer persistence for guselkumab compared to adalimumab, secukinumab or ustekinumab.PMID:37705180 | DOI:10.1111/ajd.14153

Stepped collaborative care for pain and posttraumatic stress disorder after major trauma: a randomized controlled feasibility trial

Musculoskeletal injury in an Australian professional ballet company, 2018-2021: 953 medical-attention and 706 time-loss injuries over 4 years
CONCLUSIONS: Almost all dancers required medical-attention for at least one injury during the surveillance period. Approximately 74% of injuries resulted in time-loss. The re-emergence of influenza following the COVID-19 pandemic in Victoria, Australia, 2021 to 2022
ConclusionEnhanced testing for respiratory viruses during the COVID-19 pandemic provided a more complete picture of influenza virus transmission compared with previous seasons. Returned international travellers were important drivers of influenza reemergence, as were young adults, a group whose role has previously been under-recognised in the establishment of seasonal influenza epidemics.
