Anti-inflammatory Effects of Ziziphus Jujube Mill on LPS-induced Acute Lung Injury in Mice
Iran J Allergy Asthma Immunol. 2023 Jun 16;22(3):281-289. doi: 10.18502/ijaai.v22i3.13056.ABSTRACTZiziphus Jujuba Mill (Z.J) is a well-known ethnomedical source of biologically active compounds with anti-inflammatory effects. However, its significance in acute lung injury (ALI) has never been studied. The present study aimed to explore whether Z.J could attenuate lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced inflammatory responses in an experimental model of ALI. Male BALB/c mice received an intratracheal administration of LPS (n=32) or phosphate buffer saline (PBS) (control, n=8). Within 1, 11, and 23 h post-LPS injection, mice were r...

Inhibition of miR-6215 rescued low subchondral bone mass caused by maternal exposure to dexamethasone in female offspring rats
In conclusion, increased expression of miR-6215 mediates low subchondral bone mass caused by PDE through FRMD6/YAP1 signaling. Therefore, miR-6215 is a promising therapeutic target for PDE-induced low subchondral bone mass in offspring.PMID:37524209 | DOI:10.1016/j.bcp.2023.115722

IgG4 plasma cell neoplasm in liver transplant biopsy masquerading as rejection
Leuk Res Rep. 2023 Jul 8;20:100379. doi: 10.1016/j.lrr.2023.100379. eCollection 2023.ABSTRACTIgG4 plasma cell neoplasm and myeloma are rare disease entities, not associated with systemic fibroinflammatory IgG4 related disease. We herein present a case of IgG4 plasma cell neoplasm in a liver transplant biopsy. A 55 year old female was treated with living donor transplant and had a complicated post-operative course. Three months post-transplant, she presented with small for size syndrome, biliary stricture, and inferior vena cava stenosis. Concomitant liver biopsy revealed mild acute cellular rejection with central perivenul...
