A Prediction Model for Severe Maternal Morbidity and Mortality After Delivery Hospitalization
CONCLUSION: A prediction model for SMM or mortality up to 1 year postpartum was created and internally validated with information available to health care professionals at the time of hospital discharge. The utility of this model for patient counseling and strategies to optimize postpartum care for high-risk individuals will require further evaluation.PMID:37535951 | DOI:10.1097/AOG.0000000000005281

Concurrent validation of the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility Patient Assessment Instrument Version 1.4 Sections GG, B and C
CONCLUSION: The B+C scale and Section GG were correlated with FIMc and FIMm subscales but biased towards higher ratings of ability. Ceiling effects may limit discrimination at higher level of cognition/functional independence. The clinical acceptability of Section GG total scores as an outcome measure and predictor of long-term outcomes requires further study.PMID:37536618 | DOI:10.1016/j.apmr.2023.07.009

Cost-Effectiveness of Trastuzumab Deruxtecan for HER2-Low Advanced Breast Cancer in the United States
Clin Ther. 2023 Aug 1:S0149-2918(23)00264-3. doi: 10.1016/j.clinthera.2023.07.014. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTPURPOSE: Trastuzumab deruxtecan has been shown to be effective for advanced breast cancer with low levels of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2. To optimize the allocation of limited health care resources, this study evaluated the cost-effectiveness of trastuzumab deruxtecan from the US payer perspective.METHODS: A partitioned survival model was developed to project the disease course of advanced breast cancer. Clinical efficacy, treatment utilization, safety, and cost data were gathered from the DESTINY-B...
