Taking Action Against Clinician Burnout Through Reducing the Documentation Burden With an Operating Room Supply Scanning Approach
This study shows that an interdisciplinary team can effectively work to optimize documentation efficiency and performance improvement using a scanning intervention. Lessons learned through this process can translate into optimizations elsewhere in the electronic medical record.PMID:37607689 | DOI:10.1097/CIN.0000000000001058

The Current Status of Prolonged Breastfeeding and Its Related Factors in Korean Infants and Their Mothers: A Nationwide Cross-Sectional Study
CONCLUSIONS: In Korea, the long-term BF rate of ≥ 12 months has declined in the past 10 years, and BF becomes rare after 18 months. Higher maternal interest in nutrition information appears to be driving access to PBF over 12 months than EBF for 6 months or PBF over 18 months. To promote PBF over 12 months in Korea, it may be helpful to strengthen nutrition education that specifically emphasizes the benefits of PBF along with EBF, especially during infant health examinations.PMID:37605500 | PMC:PMC10442503 | DOI:10.3346/jkms.2023.38.e261

How new clinical roles in primary care impact on equitable distribution of workforce: a retrospective study
CONCLUSION: Between 2019 and 2022 the distribution of administrative staff became less pro-poor, and doctors-in-training became pro-poor. The changes in inequality in all other staff groups were mixed. The introduction of PCNs has not substantially changed the longstanding inequalities in the geographical distribution of the primary care workforce.PMID:37604700 | DOI:10.3399/BJGP.2023.0007

Ten-Year Changes in the Physical Activity and Sedentary Behaviors of Adults: An Analysis of the 2 Cross-Sectional Observation of Cardiovascular Risk Factors in Luxembourg Studies
CONCLUSIONS: Over a 10-year period, PA increased and total sitting time decreased in adults living in Luxembourg. With regard to specific sedentary behaviors, television viewing, and PC use outside of work increased. Specific population subgroups will benefit the most from targeted efforts to increase PA and minimize sedentary behavior.PMID:37604484 | DOI:10.1123/jpah.2022-0611
