Hydrocephalus Shunting in Supratentorial Glioblastoma: Functional Outcomes and Management
ConclusionVentricular system opening was identified as a risk factor for communicating hydrocephalus in glioblastoma patients. Although glioblastoma treatment remains challenging, shunting improved hydrocephalus-related functional status and may be considered even in a palliative setting for symptom relief.

Endoscopic Third Ventriculostomy before Posterior Fossa Tumor Surgery in Adult Patients
Conclusion The present series confirms the feasibility and safety of ETV before posterior fossa tumor surgery in adult patients. If patients had symptomatic hydrocephalus before tumor surgery, an ETV can be performed, followed by early elective tumor surgery. A prophylactic ETV in asymptomatic patients is not advised. Moyamoya Disease Associated with Recurrent Right Thalamic Haemorrhage and Hydrocephalous: A Case Report.
We report a case of a 51-year-old female who presented with recurrent thalamic bleed and intraventricular haemorrhage nine years apart in the same territory. The first bleed was managed conservatively and second bleed led to development of hydrocephalus. The acute phase of the hydrocephalus was managed by external ventricular drainage and the final CSF diversion was managed by ventriculoperitoneal shunt. The definitive treatment could not be done to denial of consent from the patient. We present the case to highlight the role CSF diversion as a means of palliative treatment for the Moyamoya disease. Cerebrospinal fluid diversion for leptomeningeal metastasis: palliative, procedural and oncologic outcomes
ConclusionsCSF diversion for LM with hydrocephalus and intracranial hypertension secondary to metastasis can achieve symptomatic relief, hospital discharge, and return to further oncologic therapy, with a complication profile unique to this pathophysiology. However, decision-making in this population must incorporate end-of-life goals of care given limited prognosis.

Postoperative course of cerebrospinal fluid diversion in the setting of leptomeningeal disease: a systematic review, meta-analysis, and meta-regression with an illustrative case
ConclusionAlthough CSF diversion in the setting of LMD can improve hydrocephalus symptoms in the majority of patients, there is a non-negligible proportion that will require shunt revision. Postoperatively, the prognosis of LMD remains poor irrespective of shunt type, and despite possible biases within the current literature, the expected median overall survival after index surgery is a matter of months. These findings support CSF diversion as an effective palliative procedure when considering symptoms and quality of life. Cn-12 * pineal parenchymal tumour of intermediate differentiation: case series from a single institute
CONCLUSION: Patients with PPTID in this case series survived medium term and four remain on follow up. A prospective multi institutional study is recommended due to the potential for late adverse effects. However, because this entity is rare, the difficulties in achieving this are recognised therefore cases should be collated at centres for review.

Ventriculoperitoneal shunt infection with Mycobacterium abscessus: a rare cause of ventriculitis
Conclusions Non-tuberculous mycobacteria are rare, atypical organisms in the setting of ventriculoperitoneal shunt infection. Patients with ventriculitis secondary to atypical mycobacteria may exhibit drug-resistant cerebrospinal fluid pleocytosis in the face of standard antibiotic regimens.

Early intrauterine development of mixed giant intracranial teratoma in newborn: a case report.
CONCLUSIONS: G3 type complex teratoma, even rare, can be localized at cerebral level and get giant development and growth only in the third trimester of pregnancy, ending with a neonate that has no chance of survival. Diencephalic syndrome: a frequently neglected cause of failure to thrive in infants.

Primary atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumor of the spine in an adult patient.
CONCLUSION: Primary spinal AT/RT in the adult patient is rare. The pathology is associated with early recurrence and a poor prognosis.
