The Efficacy and Safety of a Novel Protective Complex Combined With 50% Glycolic Acid Peel: A Double-Blinded, Split Face, Controlled Study
CONCLUSION: The addition of the NPC to GA 50% peel is a highly effective, safe modality in the reduction of erythema, pain, and itching after peel application, and it provides an advantage in the post-treatment healing period. Mesotherapy, Microneedling, and Chemical Peels
Mesotherapy, microneedling, and chemical peels are minimally invasive techniques used to combat facial aging. Chemical peeling is one of the oldest methods of facial rejuvenation. By using different chemicals in various combinations, strengths, and application techniques, plastic surgeons can tailor a patient’s treatment for optimal, safe, and consistent results. Mesotherapy and microneedling have emerged in the plastic surgery literature with increasingly complex indications. Both techniques have increased in popularity although research into efficacy and long-term results is lagging. With a thorough understanding of pa...

Heavy metals adsorption by banana peels micro-powder. Equilibrium modeling by non-linear models
In this study the copper and lead adsorption efficiency onto banana peels powder was investigated. The agro-industrial waste recovery represents one of the Circular Economy pillars. In the view of the synthesis of an environmentally friendly adsorbent material, the powder was used without any preliminary chemical or thermal activation, but only after simple washing, drying and grinding. The bio-adsorbent was characterized by the FTIR technique and tested in batch mode on synthetic aqueous solutions containing Pb and Cu in the range 10–90mg·L−1. A selection of two (Langmuir, Freundlich) and three (Sips, Redlich-Peterso...

Clinical and dermoscopic evaluation of combined (salicylic acid 20% and azelaic acid 20%) versus trichloroacetic acid 25% chemical peel in acne: a RCT.
CONCLUSION: Chemical peeling is effective in controlling mild-moderate acne in SPT III-IV. Combined SA 20% and AA 20% is recommended at early stage of treatment if patients have more inflammatory lesions, while TCA is recommended if patients have more non-inflammatory lesions.
