Glaucoma Cascade Screening in a High Risk Afro-Caribbean Haitian Population: A Pilot Study
Conclusion: Glaucoma cascade screening of Haitian JOAG patients’ FDRs revealed that 30.8% had suspected or manifest glaucoma. Future efforts centered on provider-initiated recruitment and improving public glaucoma awareness and education may increase screening participation.

Knowledge of Glaucoma Among Patients Attending Virtual and Face-to-Face Glaucoma Clinics
Conclusions: Patients attending virtual glaucoma clinics demonstrated similar knowledge of glaucoma compared with those attending face-to-face clinics but gaps in knowledge were identified in both groups. Patient education should be incorporated into the design of all glaucoma services.

Attitudes and Perceptions Toward the Use of Medical Marijuana by Glaucoma Specialists
Conclusions: Over 25% of the glaucoma specialists responded that MMJ had a role in the treatment of glaucoma, despite the recommendation of the professional society. This group was least likely to have received education on the topic. Given the expanding legality and curiosity of patients with regards to marijuana in the United States, it is important for ophthalmologists to have a greater understanding of the implications of marijuana in glaucoma.

Prevalence of Open-angle Glaucoma in the Faroese Population
Conclusions: The calculated prevalence of OAG in the Faroe Islands was 1.07%. The absence of MYOC, OPTN, or TBK1 disease-causing variants in Faroese primary OAG patients suggests that a different, potentially unique set of genes may be contributing to the pathogenesis of glaucoma in this population.

Cyclodiode Laser as the First Surgical Approach in Childhood Glaucoma Under the Age of 8 Years
Conclusions: Cyclodiode laser in childhood glaucoma patients under the age of 8 years can be considered a safe alternative for glaucoma patients who can have a high risk of surgical complications. Performing cyclodiode laser can delay the need for penetrating glaucoma surgery. The IOP at 6 weeks may be a good predictor for the treatment outcome.

The Effect of Direct Health Education on the Uptake of Screening by First Degree Relatives of Glaucoma Patients in Nigeria
Conclusion: Direct contact and health education of FDRs through phone calls had a significant positive effect on the uptake of glaucoma screening by FDRs. We recommend direct contact and education of the FDRs of glaucoma patients.

Need for Additional Glaucoma Surgery and Complications Following Glaucoma Drainage Device Surgery
Conclusion: Glaucoma type did not significantly affect post-GDD cumulative rates of reoperation, corneal graft, and VT-complication among the OAG, PXE, and NVG groups. For all eyes, cumulative rates of reoperation, corneal graft, and VT-complications increased beyond 5 years. The Ahmed FP7 had a significantly higher cumulative reoperation rate compared with the Baerveldt 350 over time.

Clinical Characteristics and Stage at Presentation of Glaucoma Patients in Sub-Saharan Africa
Précis: The initial presentation of glaucoma varies meaningfully across SSA. A comprehensive strategy with regional customization based on local differences is needed to reduce glaucoma blindness in SSA. Purpose: To explore regional variations in the presentation of newly diagnosed glaucoma in Sub Saharan Africa (SSA). Methodology: This was a multicenter, cross-sectional study in which newly diagnosed, consecutive, glaucoma patients aged older than or equal to 18 years were recruited from 27 eye clinics in 10 countries throughout SSA. Demographic and ophthalmic examination data were collected. Glaucoma s...

Prevalence and Risk Factors of Glaucoma Among Chinese People From the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study
Conclusions: Geographic variation in the prevalence of self-reported glaucoma and its strong association with preexisting systemic chronic diseases were observed, suggesting that in addition to ophthalmological examinations, regular physical examinations are necessary for glaucoma patients, especially in areas of high incidence. Appropriate strategies to improve preventive measures for glaucoma are recommended for the Chinese population.

Superficial and Deep Macula Vessel Density in Healthy, Glaucoma Suspect, and Glaucoma Eyes
Precis: Macular superficial capillary plexus (SCP) vessel density is more informative than deep capillary plexus (DCP) vessel density for the detection of glaucoma. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to characterize optical coherence tomography angiography macular SCP and projection-resolved DCP vessel densities and compare their diagnostic accuracies with ganglion cell complex (GCC) thickness in healthy, glaucoma suspect, and glaucoma eyes. Materials and Methods: Sixty-eight eyes of 44 healthy subjects, 26 eyes of 16 preperimetric glaucoma suspects, and 161 eyes of 124 glaucoma patients from the Diag...
