The impact of laparoscopic gynecological surgery training on the technicity index of a developing country center
CONCLUSIONS: High-quality laparoscopic training in a world-renowned specialized center allowed standardizing laparoscopic hysterectomy procedures and helped to significantly improve TI in the recipient's center with comparable surgical outcomes.PMID:37610965 | PMC:PMC10443230 | DOI:10.1590/acb382723

Patient-reported outcomes of laparoscopic magnetic sphincter augmentation for gastro-oesophageal reflux disease
CONCLUSIONS: This study is the first to present patient-reported outcomes of MSA using the LINX® device for patients with GORD in the UK. It demonstrates that the device has favourable outcomes and could effectively bridge the current therapeutic gap that exists between PPI medication and Nissen fundoplication.PMID:37609688 | DOI:10.1308/rcsann.2023.0051

Augmented Reality Navigation Plus Indocyanine Green Fluorescence Imaging Can Accurately Guide Laparoscopic Anatomical Segment 8 Resection
CONCLUSIONS: ARN-FI was associated with less intraoperative bleeding and more accurate resection volume. These techniques may address existing challenges and provide rational guidance for laparoscopic anatomical S8 resection.PMID:37606841 | DOI:10.1245/s10434-023-14126-7

Application of a New Approach for Laparoscopic Resection of Bismuth IIIa Hilar Cholangiocarcinoma
Conclusion: Lap-Larmorh reduces the difficulty of serving the vessels at the second and third hepatic hilum by splitting the right and left livers early intraoperatively. The new approach is more suitable for the narrow space of laparoscopic surgery and reflects the no-touch principle of oncology.PMID:37603304 | DOI:10.1089/lap.2023.0085

Intraoperative ultrasound in minimally invasive thoracic surgery for the detection of pulmonary tumors: First intrathoracic application of TE9 and laparoscopic probe Lap 13-4cs (Mindray)
CONCLUSION: Intrathoracic application of laparascopically guided Io-US was technically feasible. In addition to B-mode detection, Io-US using power doppler and color-coded doppler sonography provided initial evidence for characterization of SPN based on macrovascularization.PMID:37599526 | DOI:10.3233/CH-231718

Are YouTube Videos Sufficient for Educational Purposes for Robotic Right Hemicolectomy Learning and Has Complete Mesocolic Excision Changed That?
CONCLUSIONS: Most of the robotic right hemicolectomy videos on the YouTube platform are insufficient in terms of educational capaci- ties. Complete mesocolic excision-containing videos are slightly superior in this respect to noncomplete mesocolic excision videos, as considering a new technique can make video presenters more attentive. In our opinion, if the images presented to the video platforms are to be used for educational purposes, they must undergo a certain evaluation and screening process.PMID:37603300 | DOI:10.5152/tjg.2023.22827
