E-085 The scepter mini catheter allows for improved penetration of fine vascular networks and facilitates curative embolization in vein of galen malformations
ConclusionsThe Scepter Mini provided excellent distal access with penetration to the fistula and subsequent extra-axial network reduction with few complications. The Scepter Mini provides a means for successful treatment of angiogenic VOGM who present early and symptomatically, facilitating curative embolization.Disclosures A. Devarajan: None. A. E-155 Evaluating the current landscape of infantile brain arteriovenous malformations: a 15-year propensity matched analysis of the national inpatient sample
ConclusionsIn this 15-year nationally representative propensity matched analysis of pediatric patients with AVMs, patients in heart failure were likely to present younger and experience greater in-hospital morbidity and mortality. However, over the last 15 years mortality has decreased in this population. This suggests that advances in treatment strategy are contributing to improved patient outcomes.Disclosures A. E-170 Transvenous embolization with pressure cooker technique offers successful angiographic cure of vein of galen malformations with favorable clinical outcomes
ConclusionThe pressure cooker technique offers an attractive option to achieve curative embolization of VOGM by TVE. Patients who received curative embolization using PCT demonstrated persistent angiographic cure and excellent clinical outcomes even at long-term clinical follow-up.Disclosures A. Devarajan: None. T. O-039 Preliminary results of the cerevasc eShunt implant in the treatment of normal pressure hydrocephalus
ConclusionIn elderly patients affected by NPH and its insidious effect on mobility, cognition and urinary continence, our results show that the endovascular transdural eShunt device can be safely implanted with an acceptable risk profile and with rapid significant improvement in functional outcome scores. These early follow-up results suggest a potential future role for the less invasive percutaneous endovascular approach provided by the eShunt system in the NPH patient population.Abstract O-039 Figure 1Timed Up & Go (TUG) gait assessment in patients following CereVasc eShunt@ implant placement at follow-up compared to...

E-200 Use of artificial intelligence in patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage to predict outcomes and complications
ConclusionThe proposed project utilizes prospective and retrospective data to develop a novel ML model to predict complications associated with aSAH, specifically cerebral vasospasm and HCP. The ultimate goal is to use ML in clinical practice for real-time patient risk assessment and optimization of physician decision making and efficient patient care.Disclosures M. McGrath: None. R. O-045 Image-guided endocisternal 3rd ventriculostomy (ETV)
ConclusionPreliminary preclinical studies show that endocisternal 3rd ventriculostomy is feasible but will require multimodality imaging and appropriately constructed tools for a safe procedure and adequate training. The trans-lumbar CSF navigation with direct access to both spinal and intracranial spaces could address not only a occlusive hydrocephalus but disorders such as arachnoid cysts, aquaeductal stenosis and serve for brain/spine biopsies, drug and gene delivery as well as placement of microsensors and implants for neuromodulation using a simple translumbar CSF access.ReferencesTaghian T, Marosfoi MG, Puri AS, et a...

E-003 Active CSF exchange and removal of blood after aneurysmatic SAH reduces shunt dependency- preliminary results
ConclusionsActive CSF exchange is possible via active EVD and this accelerated SAH removal. This might reduce shunt dependency after SAH. Prospective trials are needed to confirm our preliminary findings.Disclosures B. Rezai Jahromi: 1; C; IRRAS. 2; C; IRRAS, Neurovascular Innovations, Helsinki Surgical Instruments. F. Göhre: None. M. E-265 Aneurysmal versus 'benign perimesencephalic subarachnoid hemorrhage
Conclusion‘Benign’ PMSAH pattern was associated with a ruptured aneurysm in 6.2% of patients in our cohort. An underlying aneurysm and acute hydrocephalus were associated with poor outcomes. However, vasospasm was not associated with unfavorable outcomes in patients with PMSAH.Disclosures A. Alrohimi: None. M. Davison: None. A. Pandhi: None. A. Abdulrazzak: None. M. Bain: None. N. E-025 The rate and predictors of 30-day readmission in patients treated for cerebral aneurysms: a large single-center study
ConclusionIn our study, risk factors for 30-day readmission were increasing BMI, cancer, increasing aneurysm width, and anticoagulation use. Future studies should focus on aneurysm dimensions and the use of blood thinners as the literature pertaining these predictors is still scarce.Abstract E-025 Table 1 Variables N(%) 30-day Readmission 36 (6.6) Cause of Readmission: Infection Stroke Re-Rupture Wound Dehiscence Seizures CSF Leak Hydrocephalus Headache Wound Area Swelling Groin Hematoma Pseudo meningocele 9 (25)11 (30.6)1 (2.8)1 (2.8)1 (2.8)1 (2.8)1 (2.8)7 (19.4)2 (5.6)1 (2.8)1 (2.8) Causes and Rate of ReadmissionAbstrac...

E-039 Clinical grade at presentation is superior to three published scoring systems for ultraearly pretreatment rebleed prediction following saccular aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage
ConclusionIn aSAH patients treated within an ultra-early timeframe, WFNS grade at presentation displayed optimal utility for re-bleed prediction compared to three published scoring systems incorporating varying combinations of multiple re-bleed predictors. Future re-bleed prediction models should incorporate the WFNS. Furthermore, earlier aneurysm occlusion should not be withheld from high grade aSAH patients with favourable prognostic factors as these patients may stand to benefit most from re-bleed prevention.Disclosures A. Multidisciplinary management of people with spina bifida across the lifespan
AbstractThe average worldwide prevalence of neural tube defects (NTDs) is 1.0 per 1000 births. Its development is multifactorial due to genetic and non-genetic factors. Spina bifida (SB) is one of main representatives of NTD. The spinal cord lesion level is the main determinant of the level of paralysis, numbness, and difficulties with bladder/bowel functions. Myelomeningocele prenatal repair reduces hydrocephalus and hindbrain herniation and improves motor function. The severity of hydrocephalus is associated with poorer neurodevelopmental outcomes whether operated on prenatally or after birth. People with SB tend to have...
