Validity of Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection for Gastric Cancer Diagnosed as Differentiated Adenocarcinoma Before Treatment Regardless of Lesion Size
CONCLUSION: Even with a tumor diameter ≥31 mm, curative resection was achieved in about 60% of cases in which intramucosal lesions were considered possible preoperatively, but the rate was low at 8.3% for tumor diameter ≥101 mm. Long-term outcomes appear favorable, with only 0.4% of the patients dying of disease but delayed gastric emptying observed in 1.7% of cases.PMID:37681270 | DOI:10.5152/tjg.2023.22611

Application Value of Early Warning Nursing Model with "Evidence-based Concept" as the Core in Peri-anesthesia Period for Gastric Cancer
CONCLUSION: Under the evidence-based early warning nursing model, nurses accurately assess patients' conditions during the peri-anesthesia period, leading to improved care plans that reduce complications and postoperative pain while enhancing patient satisfaction.PMID:37678864

Ultra-short cell-free DNA fragments enhance cancer early detection in a multi-analyte blood test combining mutation, protein and fragmentomics
CONCLUSIONS: These results suggest synergistic properties of protein, genetic and fragmentomics features in the identification of early-stage cancers.PMID:37678194 | DOI:10.1515/cclm-2023-0541

Effects of Clavien-Dindo Classification on Long-Term Survival of Patients With Advanced Gastric Cancer After Radical Resection: A Propensity Score-matched Study
CONCLUSIONS: Severe complications reduced the survival outcome of patients. More attention should be paid to perioperative management of patients with high risk factors for complications.PMID:37679024 | DOI:10.1177/00031348231191230

Patterns of the lymph node metastasis and the influencing factors in esophagogastric junction cancers
CONCLUSIONS: EGJCs are frequently advanced at presentation, characterized by minimal differentiation and a high incidence of LNM. The Siewert subtype is concentrated near the stomach. Different Siewert subtypes exhibit distinct clinicopathological characteristics. LNM and MLN metastasis risk are considerably higher in type I tumors compared to types II and III. There is a strong correlation between LNM and MLN metastasis and distant metastasis in EGJCs, so Siewert I is more aggressive and associated with a worse prognosis. EGJCs have numerous RFs associated with LNM, and there are similarities and differences in the RFs af...
