Synchronous bilateral ovarian torsion followed by recurrent unilateral torsion in a patient undergoing fertility treatment: A case report and literature review
CONCLUSIONS: Clinicians should have a low-threshold to investigate and rule out OT in patients who present with lower abdominal pain, especially in those with additional risk factors for torsion. Patients with confirmed torsion can be successfully managed with detorsion of the ovaries. A systematic review and meta-synthesis of qualitative studies on childbirth perineal trauma for the development of a Core Outcome Set
CONCLUSIONS: Among the descriptive themes, psychosocial effects, communication, and recovery exhibited the highest prevalence. CONCLUSION: Our study found that COVID-19 has continued to impact pediatric anesthesiology. There are major discrepancies between what anesthesiologists believe are important for job satisfaction and faculty retention compared to implemented initiatives. Ollier Disease: A Case Report and Review of Treatment Options
In this report, we describe the case of an 11-year-old female who presented to her physician with pain and swelling of her right ring and small fingers after playing in a swimming pool with no obvious mechanism of trauma. A routine, plain radiographic evaluation of her hand revealed the presence of multiple enchondromatosis. Understanding wheelchair use in older adults from the National Health and Aging Trends Study
CONCLUSIONS: Current wheelchair users reported more physical difficulties and were much less likely to go outside. This lower outdoor mobility could be due to physical difficulties or potential barriers in physical and socio-cultural environments. In addition, older adults who do not use wheelchairs showed increasing physical problems over time (including balance or coordination problems). The Efficacy of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Approaches in Chronic Migraine: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
CONCLUSIONS: A limited number of RCTs investigating the efficacy of physical therapy and rehabilitation approaches show promise in improving headache symptoms, reducing disability, and enhancing QoL in CM. Meta-analysis of the data also supported favorable outcomes for both intensity and headache days per month.
