Interaction impacts of biocompost on nutrient dynamics and relations with soil biota, carbon fractions index, societal value of CO < sub > 2 < /sub > equivalent and ecosystem services in the wheat-rice farming
Chemosphere. 2023 Aug 1:139695. doi: 10.1016/j.chemosphere.2023.139695. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThis experiment aimed to understand the recycled industrial biocompost interaction with fertilizers doses on soil nutrient dynamics, soil organic carbon (SOC) fraction indexes, microbial population, positive ecosystem services, carbon dioxide (CO2) societal values and economy in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)-rice (Oryza sativa L.) production. Based on the field and lab data, a significant interaction was observed between the biocompost and fertilizer levels; the fertilizer doses (FD)3 × biocompost (BC)1 were observed 80.6 ...

< em > Corrigendum to < /em > : Out-of-pocket payments: impacts on healthcare decision-making and system and individual level measures to minimise the burden
This article aims to provide an overview of out-of-pocket payments and their impacts on decision-making: whether, or not to delay care or seek care at all. The impact of average out-of-pocket payments on demand for mental healthcare services is provided as a specific example. The available data indicate a positive linear relationship between the average out-of-pocket payments for Medicare services by type of provider, and the proportion of patients who decide not to obtain care from a given type provider. This article also poses that current safety net processes are not consumer centric, the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme ...

Industrial eco-efficiency of resource-based cities in China: spatial-temporal dynamics and associated factors
Environ Sci Pollut Res Int. 2023 Aug 3. doi: 10.1007/s11356-023-28961-4. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTPromoting the greening of industry is the key to achieving high-quality and sustainable development of the urban economy. It is particularly important for resource-based cities (RBCs) that exploit natural resources as the leading industries. In this paper, the Windows-Bootstrap-DEA model was used to calculate the industrial eco-efficiency (IEE) of 114 RBCs in China from 2003 to 2016, and the regional differences and dynamic evolution characteristics of the IEE were analyzed. The panel Tobit model was used to explore the f...

Linking circular economy model and green supply chain practices to shape environmental performance: case of Vietnam
Environ Sci Pollut Res Int. 2023 Aug 3. doi: 10.1007/s11356-023-28882-2. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThe circular economy (SE) is the foremost element for environmental improvement that reduces wastage and enhances production. This aspect requires the focus of new researchers and experienced policymakers. Hence, the current research examines the impact of SE practices such as internal environmental management (IEM), eco-design, and internal recovery on the SE targeted performance, such as environmental performance in Vietnam. The research also investigates the moderating role of environmental-oriented supply chain (SC) p...

Preparation of dopamine-modified sea squirt cellulose hydrogel dust-fixing agent to prevent raising of dust
In this study, cellulose was extracted from sea squirts, and its hydrophilic properties were improved by substituting the hydrogen ions of the cellulose -OH with dopamine. The modified cellulose was used to prepare a hydrogel for use as a dust-fixing agent (CDP) to reduce air pollution caused by dust. After response surface method optimization, the proportions of binder, water-retaining agent, wetting agent, and antifreeze in CDP were 0.97, 1.44, 0.23, and 6.32%, respectively. This composition improved the wetting ability and permeability of CDP on particle surfaces. CDP exhibited good water retention at -11-50 °C. CDP re...

Home practice for robotic surgery: a randomized controlled trial of a low-cost simulation model
J Robot Surg. 2023 Aug 2. doi: 10.1007/s11701-023-01688-7. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTPre-operative simulated practice allows trainees to learn robotic surgery outside the operating room without risking patient safety. While simulation practice has shown efficacy, simulators are expensive and frequently inaccessible. Cruff (J Surg Educ 78(2): 379-381, 2021) described a low-cost simulation model to learn hand movements for robotic surgery. Our study evaluates whether practice with low-cost home simulation models can improve trainee performance on robotic surgery simulators. Home simulation kits were adapted from those de...

J Autism Dev Disord. 2023 Aug 2. doi: 10.1007/s10803-023-06067-7. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTWith the development of the economy and the progress of society, people are paying more and more attention to mental health while paying attention to material affluence, especially the pursuit of happiness. Nowadays, the discourse power of Chinese women is increasing, this study is based on CGSS survey data, using the method of multiple regression to conduct an empirical study. From the perspective of women's self, family and media choice, we will study which factors affect the subjective happiness of Chinese women. The results s...
