Antidepressant effects of coumarins and their derivatives: A critical analysis of research advances
This study systematically examines the antidepressant effects of coumarins and their derivatives in relation to time series of research progress in the pharmacological pathways, association with other diseases, toxicity and bliometric analysis. The review was approached using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) coupled with R package using Biblioshiny, a web interface for Bibliometrix analysis and VOSviewer software analytic tools. Literature searches were conducted in Scopus, Web of Science, and PubMed from the inception through January 21, 2023. Coumarins, depression, coumarin ...

Green Light-Based Analgesia - Novel Nonpharmacological Approach to Fibromyalgia Pain: A Pilot Study
CONCLUSIONS: Our study demonstrated the feasibility of this treatment approach and study design and supports a future study to determine the efficacy of green light-based analgesia on opioid use, pain, and anxiety. While the reduction of opioid use was not of statistical significance, we believe it to be of clinical significance as there was no increase of patient-reported pain. This warrants further investigation in a large-scale trial of the use of green-light filtration of ambient light to mitigate opioid use and possible mediation of psychological impacts of pain with the use of green-lensed eyeglasses.PMID:37535780

IJERPH, Vol. 20, Pages 6513: Physical Activity in Long COVID: A Comparative Study of Exercise Rehabilitation Benefits in Patients with Long COVID, Coronary Artery Disease and Fibromyalgia
Roche David Hupin Exercise in long COVID is poorly studied. Nevertheless, exerciserehabilitation could improve cardiorespiratory, muscular and autonomic functions. We aimed to investigate improvement in physical and autonomic performances of long COVID patients (n = 38) after a 4-week exercise rehabilitation program (3 sessions/week) compared to two control groups composed of coronary artery disease (n = 38) and fibromyalgia patients (n = 38), two populations for whom exercise benefits are well known. Efficacy of exercise training was assessed by a cardiopulmonary exercise test, a handgrip force test, and a supine he...

Acupoint Catgut Embedding Diminishes Fibromyalgia Pain through TRPV1 in the Mouse Brain
CONCLUSIONS: These novel findings suggest that chronic FM pain can be modulated by ACE or TRPV1 gene deletion. The analgesic effect of ACE through the TRPV1 pathway may reflect its potential as a therapeutic target for FM treatment.PMID:37519181 | DOI:10.31083/j.jin2204097
