Electromagnetic Radiation Exposure and Childhood Leukemia: Meta-Analysis and Systematic Review
CONCLUSIONS: The collective results of three meta-analyses, encompassing magnetic field strengths ranging from 0.1 μT to 2.38 μT, underscore a statistically significant association between the intensity of magnetic fields and the occurrence of childhood leukemia. However, one specific analysis concluded that no apparent relationship exists between exposure to 0.1 μT and an elevated risk of leukemia development in children.PMID:37678874

Generation of CHOPi-008-B, a euploid iPSC line from a patient with Trisomy 21 and a GATA1 mutation
Stem Cell Res. 2023 Sep 1;72:103198. doi: 10.1016/j.scr.2023.103198. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTTransient myeloproliferative disorder (TMD) is a pre-leukemic condition that occurs only in neonates with Trisomy 21 (T21), and is attributed to a genetic interaction between the third copy of chromosome 21 (HSA21) and a mutation in the transcription factor GATA1 that results in a truncated protein (GATA1s). We generated a euploid iPSC line with a GATA1s mutation that is isogenic to a previously published pair of T21 lines with and without a GATA1 mutation. The line was characterized for pluripotency, differentiation potentia...

Ozone attenuates chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy via upregulating the AMPK-SOCS3 axis
CONCLUSIONS: In this study, we demonstrated that ozone could alleviate CIPN by upregulating the AMPK-SOCS3 axis to inhibit TF expression, which is a potential treatment for CIPN.PMID:37675733 | DOI:10.4103/jcrt.jcrt_912_23

Infectious complications among patients receiving ibrutinib for the treatment of hematological malignancies
CONCLUSION: Serious infection and IFI rates are high but similar to those previously described. Risk factors for serious infection included allo-HSCT and corticosteroid use. Targeted antimicrobial prophylaxis should be evaluated in prospective studies in patients on ibrutinib to reduce serious infections and IFI.PMID:37675967 | DOI:10.1093/ajhp/zxad210
