Effect of a pulmonary rehabilitation program combined with cognitive training on exercise tolerance and cognitive functions among Tunisian male patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease: A randomized controlled trial
CONCLUSION: In conclusion, although PR alone improves 6MWT parameters and cognitive function, the addition of CT to PR is more effective in improving cognitive abilities in patients with COPD. This combined approach may provide clinicians with a complementary therapeutic option for improving cognitive abilities in patients with COPD.PMID:37691169 | PMC:PMC10494516 | DOI:10.1177/14799731231201643

Design for all A.U.D.I.T. (Assessment Universal Design & amp; Inclusion Tool). A tool to evaluate physical, sensory-cognitive and social quality in healthcare facilities
CONCLUSIONS: The study proposes an innovative evaluation system to determine the inclusion of hospitals, both for projects and for existing buildings. The flexible structure allows the tool to beapplied in different building typologies, currently adopted to identify hospital's weaknesses and setting priorities of intervention on inclusion.PMID:37695190 | DOI:10.23750/abm.v94iS3.14288

The 50th Anniversary of the Implementation of PL 92-603: A Major Change in the Care of Patients with End Stage Kidney Disease
Nephrol Nurs J. 2023 Jul-Aug;50(4):283-288.ABSTRACTFifty years ago, in July 1973, providing care to patients with end stage kidney disease changed dramatically with the implementation of legislation (PL 92-603) that deemed chronic renal disease to be a disability and provided coverage under Medicare for the treatment of the disease. In this article, we discuss the impact of the implementation of PL 92-603.PMID:37695513

Fight Aging! Newsletter, September 11th 2023
This article reviews the current regulatory role of miR-7 in inflammation and related diseases, including viral infection, autoimmune hepatitis, inflammatory bowel disease, and encephalitis. It expounds on the molecular mechanism by which miR-7 regulates the occurrence of inflammatory diseases. Finally, the existing problems and future development directions of miR-7-based intervention on inflammation and related diseases are discussed to provide new references and help strengthen the understanding of the pathogenesis of inflammation and related diseases, as well as the development of new strategies for clinical interventi...
