MRI-Derived Radiomics Model to Predict the Biochemical Recurrence of Prostate Cancer Following Seed Brachytherapy
CONCLUSIONS: Our study revealed the considerable potential of a radiomics model based on MRI-derived imaging features in BCR prediction of PCa patients after seed-BT. Radiomics provides a new perspective to clinicians assessing the outcome of radiotherapy, facilitating accurate prognostic evaluation and preoperative consultation for PCa patients followed by seed-BT.PMID:37455525 | DOI:10.56434/j.arch.esp.urol.20237604.30

A formalism for traceable dosimetry in superficial electronic brachytherapy (eBT)
This study proposes a method for harmonization of traceable reference dosimetry for eBT contact treatments which does not involve a detailed simulation of the ionization chamber. The method demonstrated feasibility for one eBT system using one surface applicator. In the future the method could be applied for different eBT systems.PMID:37451251 | DOI:10.1088/1361-6560/ace7a9

Long-Term outcomes of Ultra-Hypofractionated 2 Fractions single day HDR Brachytherapy in Localized Prostate Cancer
CONCLUSIONS: In patients with favorable localized prostate cancer, 2 fractions HDR-BT monotherapy is a highly curative radiation technique that attains PSA nadir levels <0.2 ng/mL in 95% of cases.PMID:37437606 | DOI:10.1016/j.radonc.2023.109807

Treatment of Keloids with Surgery and Immediate Postoperative Radiotherapy: Knowledge Gained Over 17 Years
Conclusion Treating the vexing problem of keloids with surgery and immediate postoperative radiotherapy is safe and effective. We recommend that this be adopted as the standard treatment in keloid management.PMID:37435336 | PMC:PMC10332905 | DOI:10.1055/s-0043-1761599
