Targeting DNA Repair and Survival Signaling in Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Gliomas to Prevent Tumor Recurrence
Mol Cancer Ther. 2023 Sep 19. doi: 10.1158/1535-7163.MCT-23-0026. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTTherapeutic resistance remains a major obstacle to successful clinical management of Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), a high-grade pediatric tumor of the brain stem. In nearly all patients, available therapies fail to prevent progression. Innovative combinatorial therapies that penetrate the blood-brain barrier and lead to long-term control of tumor growth are desperately needed. We identified mechanisms of resistance to radiotherapy, the standard of care for DIPG. Based on these findings, we rationally designed a brain-...

Tissue Expressions of Regulatory Enzymes of the Krebs Cycle in Low- and High-grade Gliomas
CONCLUSION: Regulatory enzymes of the Krebs cycle are increased in high-grade gliomas compared to low-grade gliomas. Glutaminolysis enzymes, namely glutamate dehydrogenase and glutaminase, which are required for resupplying the Krebs cycle, are also increased in order to meet the high energy demand in high-grade gliomas.PMID:37715603 | DOI:10.5137/1019-5149.JTN.40697-22.2

Low Expression of A3C and PLP2 Indicating a Favorable Prognosis in Human Gliomas
In conclusion, our results not only confirmed A3C played an important role in glioma development, but the A3C IHC test could successfully predict the therapeutic effects and disease prognosis.PMID:37715423 | DOI:10.14715/cmb/2023.69.7.12

NLGN4X TCR transgenic T cells to treat gliomas
CONCLUSION: NLGN4X-TCR-T demonstrates efficacy in a preclinical glioblastoma model. On a global scale, we provide first evidence for the therapeutic retrieval of vaccine-induced human TCRs for the off-the-shelf treatment of glioblastoma patients.PMID:37715782 | DOI:10.1093/neuonc/noad172

A Dual-Aware deep learning framework for identification of glioma isocitrate dehydrogenase genotype using magnetic resonance amide proton transfer modalities
CONCLUSION: The proposed deep learning algorithm model constructed based on the image characteristics of the APT modality is effective for glioma IDH genotyping and identification task and may potentially replace the commonly used T1CE modality to avoid contrast agent injection and achieve non- invasive IDH genotyping.PMID:37712275 | DOI:10.12122/j.issn.1673-4254.2023.08.15
