Massive Hemorrhage and Mortality Following Thyroid Radiofrequency Ablation
In conclusion, massive hemorrhages caused by RFA require immediate diagnosis and hemostasis.PMID:37649333 | DOI:10.1177/01455613231182234

Establishment of local diagnostic reference levels for computed tomography with cloud-based automated dose-tracking software in Turkey
CONCLUSION: There is a need to update the NDRLs for CT protocols in Turkey. Until new NDRLs are established, local institutions in Turkey can initiate the optimization process by comparing their dose distributions to the LDRLs established in our study. Automated dose-tracking software can play an important role in establishing DRLs by facilitating the collection and analysis of large datasets.PMID:37650522 | DOI:10.4274/dir.2023.232265

Efficacy and safety of transcatheter arterial embolization for hemodynamically unstable bleeding after percutaneous transthoracic needle biopsy
CONCLUSION: The study suggests that TAE is safe and effective for controlling hemodynamically unstable bleeding following a PTNB.PMID:37650514 | DOI:10.4274/dir.2023.232253

Non-contrast computed tomography findings for identification of chronically occluded coronary artery bypass grafts
CONCLUSION: Evaluation of coronary bypass grafts for chronic occlusion on non-contrast CT based off vessel morphology is feasible and accurate for venous grafts. Potential use cases include low-intermediate risk patients with chest pain or shortness of breath for whom non-contrast CT was ordered, or administration of iodine-based contrast is contraindicated.PMID:37649280 | DOI:10.1177/02841851231196873

From diagnosis to prognosis: A paradigm shift for multimodal imaging in assessing diabetic macular edema
Eur J Ophthalmol. 2023 Aug 30:11206721231199149. doi: 10.1177/11206721231199149. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTDiabetic macular edema (DME) is one of the leading causes of visual impairment in patients with diabetes. Multimodal imaging (MMI) has allowed a shift from DME diagnosis to prognosis. Although there are no accepted guidelines, MMI may also lead to treatment customization. Several study groups have tried to identify structural biomarkers that can predict treatment response and long-term visual prognosis. The purpose of this editorial is to review currently proposed optical coherence tomography (OCT) and optical coh...

The contribution of indocyanine green angiography in a case of unilateral retinal pigment epithelium dysgenesis
CONCLUSION: URPED is an extremely rare clinical entity with only a few cases reported. In this case the almost pathognomonic differential features of URPED were best appreciated with ICGA imaging. To our knowledge, this is the first reported case of URPED with these abnormal findings on ICGA meaning it could be part of the spectrum of the disease.PMID:37649336 | DOI:10.1177/11206721231199337
