Establishment of local diagnostic reference levels for computed tomography with cloud-based automated dose-tracking software in Turkey
CONCLUSION: There is a need to update the NDRLs for CT protocols in Turkey. Until new NDRLs are established, local institutions in Turkey can initiate the optimization process by comparing their dose distributions to the LDRLs established in our study. Automated dose-tracking software can play an important role in establishing DRLs by facilitating the collection and analysis of large datasets.PMID:37650522 | DOI:10.4274/dir.2023.232265

Efficacy and safety of transcatheter arterial embolization for hemodynamically unstable bleeding after percutaneous transthoracic needle biopsy
CONCLUSION: The study suggests that TAE is safe and effective for controlling hemodynamically unstable bleeding following a PTNB.PMID:37650514 | DOI:10.4274/dir.2023.232253

Massive Hemorrhage and Mortality Following Thyroid Radiofrequency Ablation
In conclusion, massive hemorrhages caused by RFA require immediate diagnosis and hemostasis.PMID:37649333 | DOI:10.1177/01455613231182234

Non-contrast computed tomography findings for identification of chronically occluded coronary artery bypass grafts
CONCLUSION: Evaluation of coronary bypass grafts for chronic occlusion on non-contrast CT based off vessel morphology is feasible and accurate for venous grafts. Potential use cases include low-intermediate risk patients with chest pain or shortness of breath for whom non-contrast CT was ordered, or administration of iodine-based contrast is contraindicated.PMID:37649280 | DOI:10.1177/02841851231196873

Effects of Fractional Flow Reserve on Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Flow to Left Anterior Descending Artery
CONCLUSIONS: Both LITA grafts and SVGs to the LAD show negative correlations for FFRLADwith Qminand Qm, but positive correlations for FFRLADwith PI and SFR. These relationships between FFRLADand TTFM variables of CABG grafts to the LAD should be recognized.PMID:37648472 | DOI:10.1253/circj.CJ-23-0307

Epiretinal membrane formation and optic disc vascularisation in type 2A macular telangiectasia (MacTel)
CONCLUSION: In type 2A MacTel eyes, ERM formation and abnormal disc vascularisation are uncommon findings. More histopathologic research is needed to characterise these membranes.PMID:37644815 | DOI:10.1177/11206721231198888

Comparison of 1.5  T and 3 T magnetic resonance angiography for detecting cerebral aneurysms using deep learning-based computer-assisted detection software
CONCLUSION: EIRL_an detected significantly more false-positive lesions with 3 T than with 1.5 T MRA in this external validation study. Our data may help physicians with limited experience with MRA to correctly diagnose aneurysms using EIRL_an.PMID:37646791 | DOI:10.1007/s00234-023-03216-8

Nonatheromatous Coronary Kink Causing Angiographic Obstruction: A Rare Structural Anomaly
We present an unusual case of coronary kinking in a patient presenting with exertional jaw pain in the absence of atherosclerotic risk factors. Multimodality imaging, coronary imaging, and coronary physiology helped establish the diagnosis and guide management.PMID:37645685 | PMC:PMC10462445 | DOI:10.1155/2023/6626263
