Synthesis of Electrical Conductive Metal-Organic Frameworks for Elelctrochemical Applications
Chem Rec. 2023 Sep 18:e202300141. doi: 10.1002/tcr.202300141. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTElectrical conductivity is very important property of nanomaterials for using wide range of applications especially energy applications. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are notorious for their low electrical conductivity and less considered for usage in pristine forms. However, the advantages of high surface area, porosity and confined catalytic active sites motivated researchers to improve the conductivity of MOFs. Therefore, 2D electrical conductive MOFs (ECMOF) have been widely synthesized by developing the effective synthetic st...

A visible light-driven direct synthesis of industrially relevant glutaric acid diesters from aldehydes
Chem Commun (Camb). 2023 Sep 19. doi: 10.1039/d3cc02557h. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTA straightforward and practical method has been developed to access α-substituted glutaric diesters from acrylates and aldehydes using visible light, with Eosin Y facilitating hydrogen atom transfer (HAT) and subsequent Giese-type addition. Also, sunlight has been successfully used as an alternative sustainable light source. The method has also been explored to access substituted 4,5-dihydro-2H-pyridazinones, which have potential biological and industrial applications. Comprehensive mechanistic investigations have been carried out.PMID...

Potassium stearate doped PEDOT:PSS improves the performance of inverted perovskite solar cells
Chem Commun (Camb). 2023 Sep 19. doi: 10.1039/d3cc03539e. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTPoly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) suffers from lower conductivity and surface defects, which hinders the extraction and transport of effective charges, thereby reducing the Power conversion efficiency (PCE) and long-term stability of PSCs. Therefore, this study introduces potassium stearate (KSt) doping in PEDOT:PSS to regulate its conductivity and interface charge transfer. As a result, KSt-doped PEDOT:PSS increase the PCE of the device from 16.35% to 18.35%. Moreover, the PCE of PSCs with KSt-doped PE...

The glass transition in the high-density amorphous Zn/Co-ZIF-4
Chem Commun (Camb). 2023 Sep 19. doi: 10.1039/d3cc02492j. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThe high-density amorphous phases (HDAs) of bimetallic zeolitic imidazolate frameworks (Zn/Co-ZIF-4) were prepared. The temperature dependence of the isobaric heat capacity (Cp) of ZIF-4 HDAs was measured to determine the glass transition temperature (Tg) of HDAs. The Tg non-linearly decreases with the molar ratio R, where R is Co/(Co + Zn), indicating the presence of a mixed-metal node effect. This effect arises from the non-linear increase of the degree of configurational freedom in the HDA as R increases. The degree of configurationa...

Computational Studies and Synthesis of New Heterocyclics as CNS Agents
CONCLUSION: The designed scheme was executed in the departmental laboratory. The chemical structure of the compounds was confirmed on the basis of TLC, IR, and 1HNMR analyses. The docking study revealed a good docking score of the compounds. The Log P value of the compounds indicated their good penetration into CNS. The compounds were also screened for anxiolytic activity. Among them, compounds 4f, 4h, and P3 showed maximum activity as anti-anxiolytic agents.PMID:37723630 | DOI:10.2174/1570163820666230918100218

Effect of electrical and chemical (activation versus inactivation) stimulation of the infralimbic division of the medial prefrontal cortex in rats with chronic neuropathic pain
This study aimed to investigate the participation of the infralimbic division (IFL) of the mPFC in chronic NP, as well as the role of the N-methyl-D-aspartic acid receptor (NMDAr) in the elaboration of chronic NP. Male Wistar rats were submitted to the von Frey and acetone tests to assess mechanical and cold allodynia after 21 days of chronic constriction injury (CCI) of the sciatic nerve or Sham-procedure ("false operated"). Electrical neurostimulation of the IFL/mPFC was performed by low-frequency stimuli (20 μA, 100 Hz) applied for 15 s by deep brain stimulation (DBS) device 21 days after CCI. Either cobalt chloride (C...

Density functional theory study on the formation mechanism of CaClOH in municipal solid waste incineration fly ash
Environ Sci Pollut Res Int. 2023 Sep 20. doi: 10.1007/s11356-023-29668-2. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTMunicipal solid waste incineration (MSWI) fly ash is defined as a kind of hazardous waste because of its high levels of multiple pollutants. The main component of MSWI fly ash is CaClOH, and the characteristics have not achieved consensus. And density functional theory (DFT) was used to calculate the formation process of CaClOH in this study, which mainly included HCl adsorption on CaO (0 0 1) surface and Ca(OH)2 (0 0 1) surface and the surface reaction process. The reaction mechanism was investigated. The results showed...

An 18F-MD-PSMA (Multi-dentate PMSA Imaging Agent) PET/CT in Prostate Cancer Relapse: Results of a Retrospective Trial
CONCLUSION: An 18F-MD-PSMA as a radioligand was found to be superior to 11C-choline in the setting of patients with biochemical relapse after previous treatment. Its PET imaging results matched those of established PSMA radioligands, but its chemical structure was found to have added features to conjugate with other functional molecules, such as those with therapeutic properties. This radioligand lays the foundation for our further work.PMID:37724670 | DOI:10.2174/1874471016666230915103157

Suspect screening for chemical residues in aquacultured shrimp and fish using liquid chromatography-high resolution mass spectrometry: comparison of data evaluation approaches
Anal Bioanal Chem. 2023 Sep 19. doi: 10.1007/s00216-023-04927-w. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTHigh-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) has become an important tool for monitoring chemical residues in food, but the time and effort required to evaluate the large amount of data generated by HRMS can be a limiting factor in the widespread application of this tool. Suspect screening, i.e., searching HRMS data against large compound databases or mass lists, represents a practical compromise between using HRMS data to only look for target compounds and performing full non-target analysis. Several different approaches for suspect...

Structural basis for inhibition of a GH116 β-glucosidase and its missense mutants by GBA2 inhibitors: Crystallographic and quantum chemical study
Chem Biol Interact. 2023 Sep 17:110717. doi: 10.1016/j.cbi.2023.110717. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThe crystal structure of the Thermoanaerobacterium xylanolyticum in glycoside hydrolase family 116 (TxGH116) β-glucosidase provides a structural model for human GBA2 glucosylceramidase, an enzyme defective in hereditary spastic paraplegia and a potential therapeutic target for treating Gaucher disease. To assess the therapeutic potential of known inhibitors, the X-ray structure of TxGH116 in complex with isofagomine (IFG) was determined at 2.0 Å resolution and showed the IFG bound in a relaxed chair conformation. The bin...
