A randomized trial: The safety, pharmacokinetics and preliminary pharmacodynamics of ropivacaine oil delivery depot in healthy subjects
ConclusionsRODD has a sustained release effect. Compared with the RHI group, Tmax was delayed in the RODD groups, and the duration of nerve block was long. No abnormal reaction was found in the RODD group containing 400 mg of ropivacaine after subcutaneous injection among healthy subjects, suggesting that RODD was adequately safe. Research on the uranium (VI) reduction by free radicals using UV/formic acid process
This study investigated the use of ultraviolet (UV) light irradiation for the activation of formic acid (FA) to reduce U(VI) in aqueous solutions. The results demonstrated that under UV radiation, FA exhibited a higher U(VI) reduction efficiency than other organic acids, and up to 70% of U(VI) in aqueous solutions was successfully removed. Electron spin resonance and methanol quenching experiments confirmed that U(VI) reduction in the UV/FA process was due to the electron transfer facilitated by FA (HCOOH) and CO2•−. This catalyst-free UV/FA process holds promise for the reduction of U(VI) in leaking water from uranium tailing ponds.

Molecules, Vol. 28, Pages 6689: Effect of the Association of Fixed Oils from Abelmoschus esculentus (L.) Moench, Euterpe oleracea Martius, Bixa orellana Linn & eacute; and Chronic SM & reg; on Atherogenic Dyslipidemia in Wistar Rats
This study investigated the effects of treatments with oils from A. esculentus, E. oleracea, B. orellana, and Chronic SM® on Cocos nucifera L. saturated-fat-induced dyslipidemia. The chromatographic profile showed the majority presence of unsaturated fatty acids in the tested oils. The quantification of tocotrienols and geranylgeraniol in OFBO and CHR was obtained. Treatments with OFEO, OFAE, OFBO, and CHR were able to significantly reduce glycemia, as well as hypertriglyceridemia, total cholesterol, and LDL-cholesterol, besides increasing HDL-cholesterol. The treatments inhibited the formation of atheromatous ...

Fumigant activity and transcriptomic analysis of two plant essential oils against the tea green leafhopper, Empoasca onukii Matsuda
The tea green leafhopper, Empoasca (Matsumurasca) onukii Matsuda, R., 1952 (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae), is currently one of the most devastating pests in the Chinese tea industry. The long-term use of chemical pesticides has a negative impact on human health, impeding the healthy and sustainable development of the tea industry in this region. Therefore, there is a need for non-chemical insecticides to control E. onukii in tea plants. The essential oils from plants have been identified for their potential insecticidal ability; however, there is a lack of knowledge regarding the effect of plant essential oils on E. onukii and ...
