Surveillance of SARS-CoV-2 infection based on self-administered swabs, Denmark, May to July 2022: evaluation of a pilot study
ConclusionParticipants successfully performed self-swabs and answered symptom questionnaires. Also, WGS analysis of samples was possible. The system can support surveillance of respiratory pathogens and also holds potential as a diagnostic tool, easing access to test for at-risk groups, while also reducing the burden on healthcare system resources.

ConclusionsHigh-calorie therapy is effective in gaining weight and BMI with few side effects. However, no significant superiority was detected in ALSFRS-R scores, survival time, lipid profile, and CRP indicator. The overall quality of the included studies is high, and the results have some credibility, but future corroboration by high-quality RCTs is also expected.

Guideline-concordant Arteriovenous Fistula Care With the PREDICT-AVF Web App
The aim of this study was to develop a tool for prediction of arteriovenous fistula (AVF) outcomes and guide shared decision-making about access appropriateness and futility in the context of recent Kidney Disease Outcomes Quality Initiative (KDOQI) guidelines. KDOQI guidelines discourage ongoing hemodialysis access salvage attempts after two interventions prior to successful use or three interventions per year overall.

Comparison of Health-Related Quality of Life Changes in Prostate Cancer Patients Undergoing Laparoscopic versus Robotic-Assisted Laparoscopic Radical Prostatectomy: A Systematic review
CONCLUSION: Both robotic-assisted and laparoscopic radical prostatectomy are valid treatment options to achieve a good quality of life following surgery. The intermediate and long-term results in regard to QoL are comparable between the two procedures. RALRP might be superior to LRP in terms of immediate health-related quality of life, which might contribute to early recovery of urinary function.PMID:37727913 | DOI:10.22037/uj.v20i.7707
