Ethnicity and risk factors among Indian coronary artery disease patients
In this study, an attempt was made to investigate the distribution of coronary risk factors in male patients with coronary artery disease (CAD)(n=50 each) belonging to Jaat and Vaishya castes. A Significantly higher average height, waist and hip circumferences, glucose, and waist-height ratio were observed in Jaats compared to the Vaishyas (p=0.000). Chlorogenic acid enhances PPAR γ-mediated lipogenesis through preventing Lipin 1 nuclear translocation in Staphylococcus aureus-exposed bovine mammary epithelial cells
In this study, the internalization of S. aureus reduced intracellular lipid droplet formation, decreased the levels of intracellular triacylglycerol, total cholesterol and 7 types of fatty acid and downregulated the expression of lipogenic genes FAS, ACC, and DGAT1 in bovine mammary epithelial cells (BMECs). In addition, we found that S. aureus intracellular infection attenuated mTORC1 activation resulting in Lipin 1 nuclear localization. Functionalized fluorescent organic nanoparticles based AIE enabling effectively targeting cancer cell imaging
We report a fluorescent dye TM by incorporating the tetraphenylethylene (TPE) and cholesterol components into perylene bisimides (PBI) derivative. Fluorescence emission spectrum shows that the dye has stable red emission and aggregation-induced emission (AIE) characteristics. The incorporation of cholesterol components triggers TM to show induced chirality through supramolecular self-assembly.
